I discovered this:
Whittard - Blend Your Own Tea
This really has the potential to be dangerous, both on my taste buds and my purse! I'm still thinking about what I'd have, probably something fruity with loads of lemon! What would you have?? Answers on a post card please!*
I have just over a month - 35w + 1 - to go till my due date, and last week we had a false alarm. At about 5pm I started getting twinges and my tummy started to tighten, I thought I just needed to fart (seriously, apart from the 'glow', pregnancy is pretty gross!)! But by 9pm I was in agony and Zooey had slowed right down in her wriggles. Usually at night she's jumping and kicking, especially when I start to settle down for sleep.
So we called the labor ward and they wanted me to come in to be monitored and looked at. Sod's law, the minute the monitor was on, Zooey started, what felt like, doing the harlem shake (yeh I know these pop culture things!)!
It was just a bad case of braxton hicks. It wasn't really until I was on the way home that it all sunk in that next month I'm having a baby and me and Jason will be parents. It's an overwhelming mix of excitement and shitting bricks! I keep thinking, "what if I really suck at this?". Which I know is a pretty normal feeling for new parents, but I didn't really appreciate that "fear" until this week.
I just want to give her the best life I can, and not see her make the same mistakes I've made.
So It's been a pretty weird week, the trip to hospital and my divorce finally came through and my name has been officially changed back.
And I'm still working on my degree! I want to just flop out now! FRAZZLED.

Reuben_ - DTMBF also shot at the shootfest in March. For those who don't know, DTMBF stands for; down to make blanket forts and is apparently used in lonely heart ads etc!
**I can't believe it's been nearly 3 years since me and Reubs last worked together! No Knickers is still one of my favourite sets. Yes my photography has improved but I loved making that set! Reuben is such a wonderful model and friend, and I really hope you like her new set as much as you did our first!***

So,
Things are really busy, and slightly mental at the moment! We have about 9 weeks till baby girl is due, and in that time I have a degree to finish and a show to prepare for! Oh and we're moving on Saturday! Not much right?!
So my time is split between packing, editing sets and uni work, which although it's photography based, it's completely different to SG stuff, so my mind is pretty stretched!
Fortunately, the boy (JforJase) has pretty much done all the packing and I'm on tea making duty. I feel so bad that I can't do much more, moving about is getting harder and after my fainting spell and seeing the midwife yesterday (I've been told to slow it right down), I'm pretty much a beached whale!
But I'm so excited about the move and having a bigger place so I can finally nest and get the baby stuff! I love my little London flat, but it really isn't baby appropriate. The beautifully old original wooden floors being the main problem! I will miss the way they look but not the dust or holes!
As I mentioned, I'm preparing for my degree show. It's going to be a big projected piece that involves characters from Zelda! YUP! Actually my tutor suggested it, after seeing my sleeve she said "well this is obviously something that interests you that much, so do some work with it!". So I've gotten enthralled in the more conceptual side of photography and the game, looking at the repetition and it's structure and the rules/features that keep the player playing. Which means I'm HAVING to PLAY Zelda (and do A LOT of reading)! Why I haven't done this before I don't know! But it suits me and it is a subject that I've always come back to. So I'm a happy panda
I'll share pictures of the show with you afterwards!
I also have to say:
Thank you so much for the overwhelming support for Aro's set, Up on Fifth! I know sets are hitting the 98/9% loved more often now, but it's amazing to have it happen to one of my sets! It really means a lot to me, I've been working really hard shooting and editing sets, so when you guys see that and support the sets this way it really helps me to keep going! Fingers crossed it gets to the FP, she definitely deserves it!
And of course thank you for the support on my other sets in MR! Most recently;

SofiaBella - Southwark
HelenJade - Little Boats
So that's about it really!
After this week I'll be internet-less (apart from phone access), so I'll give you an update - including a final scan photo! - once I get back online!

The London Shoot Fest was mental! SO many naked ladies in one house! I managed to shoot 10 (TEN?!) sets! That's; Reuben_, Fische, Marly, Salliss, RoseMo, Elye, EvaMaria, Finella, Changeling_ and Kiplin! That's a lotta ladies! and that's just who I shot!
It was so lovely to catch up with my girlies, like Nanci, Reubs and Saiylor, even if it was brief and between manic shooting! And of course it was lovely to meet the rest of the ladies!
You really should go and check out all their blogs and deffo look at Reuben_'s disposable camera pics! They are golden!

Sadly/luckily there aren't many photos of me from the weekend, I'm really shy about my baby body, and I think I was feeling a bit down as during the week before someone didn't realise I was pregnant....

I'd like to say a massive thank you to Fische, for organising the weekend and putting her own time and money in to make this all happen, and for inviting me to come and shoot! I still feel really flattered that girls want to work with me, and I alway get nervous! So to shoot ten girls in such a small space of time is, albeit slightly mental, an amazing experience!
As I mentioned, I shot new lady RoseMo for the site, the set is ready and pending review, but her is a tiny sneak peak for you!
She is epically cute! I reckon she's gunna do well!
Oh and did you see NataliaB's set On the Sofa? I loved working with this lady so much! Hopefully will shoot with her again soon! Enjoy!
Quick baby update: I'm coming up to my 26th week (out of 40), it's nuts to think that in 15 weeks I will be a mum and she'll be here! It just sucks that we won't have moved by then, though it is really tempting! Just like I mentioned before, my degree show is in my final 39th week and I have to be near to hang stuff etc. I also want to feel part of the show and work as close to the day as possible and help where I can!
My midwife is both pleased with me and baby girl's progress, which is the main thing! We do have a name, but keeping it secret! :p

I've had the flu, and because of baby I've had to fight it off without my trusty lemsip! So I've spent the whole weekend catching up on all the uni work I couldn't do and sets for the site! As much as I love working on pics of naked ladies, I feel like my eyes might fall out!

Despite all the work I'm doing, and having the flu, I'm really good, pregnancy is going well, and all the morning sickness has stopped! YAY! She's full on kicking now too! YEP! WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!!

I'm about 23 weeks along (nearly 6 months) and I still feel like I have ages, which really I don't! I have no idea how I'm gunna do this degree show and be roly poly, but I saw Saiylor (whose new set is gorgeous!) the other week and she said she'd help

So our interim exhibition opens on Wednesday! I can't believe it's our penultimate one! SCARY! but what's even more scary is that the degree show finishes on Friday (June 21st) and I'm due the Sunday! I know it's rare to be on time, but still!

The exhibition for uni is coming together nicely, thought some people seem to think that they can just turn up on the day and still get full marks.... What part of GROUP effort don't people get?! ARGH!
A sneak peak of what I'm showing... It's a digital painting. I'm exploring the realism that photography and painting depicts, and their relationship to each other. It's all very verbose and pretentious
but that's what Uni is about though isn't it!Okay I better get back to it, I have to get stuff ready to print and I have crumpets waiting to be buttered - this is not a euphemism! I do have crumpets!
