this is my first real attempt at a blog.. here goes
I gotta talk about my favorite metal albums of the year. Its not all I listen to, but as far as new music is concerned its all I've payed attention to this year and boy oh boy did Metal had a big year in 2012. Ssoooo many good albums released. First things first.
Baroness - Yellow & Green - double album release with huge riffs, tight hooks that constantly got stuck in my head and some damn amazing vocals.
Gorod - A Perfect Absolution - I mean, best mix of heavy as fuck and heavy ass funk.. craziness ensues and every moment charished
Cattle Decapitation - Monolith of Inhumanity - So heavy, so brutal, so fucking epic... I mean... Epic.
Carbomb - w^w^^w^w - wtf?! patterns of illogical patterns..it loses me, then catches me again..
Gojira - L'Enfant Sauvage - Amazing vocals. great mix of brutal heat with melody, and on top of such great riffs and rhythms.
Between the Buried and Me - Parallax II : the future sequence - It took me a while to get around to listening to it.. and that was dumb of me.. Don't make my mistake.. go listen to it..
Woods of Ypres :Woods 5: Grey Skies and Electric Light - This is the first album I've heard from these guys, and damn its good. Haunting vocals, great lyrics and catchy guitars.
So many more great releases - Black Sheep Wall (get stoned and crank that shit) Converge just came out with a new one too!(I haven't heard it yet, but i have it on good authority its damned good)
