i just wanted to stop in and give a little credit where credit is due. we don't always agree on things in the ce boards, but it has become increasingly apparent to me that you are reasonable enough to call either party on their improprieties, regardless of your affiliation. thanks for not being a talking head, as much as the accusation is likely thrown at you. i'm sure we'll continue to disagree on a great many topics, but i won't be writing your arguments off simply because we don't agree.

your wife is adorable! she looks like a combination of every girl i sat next to in high school.
but anyway here's the thingy: i submitted a story about a grenade being thrown at bush in (i guess the former) russia, you should put it up. i thought it was REALLY interesting.
Lovely wife indeed. Congrats. You have obviously been around; spoken with people of varying ethnic and political backgrounds; and perhaps have expereince from which to draw, I was just curious if you have been losing faith in U.S. policy both at home and abroad, and the purported goals of the Bush administration vis-a-vis the mid east and with regard to "repressed" states. It is my impression, by your recent posts, that perhaps you have.
Hey Michael, can you take a look at the article I edited about the Megadeth tour before I publish it and let me know if it's good enough to go up? It'd be my first editing job, so I want to make sure I didn't fuck up.
How safe did you feel in Beirut, as a civilian? I have been thinking of going there, but I don't know what the situation is like, other than the warnings on Embassy sites.
Just wanted to say that I think what you and Chris have planned for the newswire sounds like it's going to be great. Just another of the many reasons I love this site!
Regarding Beirut, for some reason when I think of you being over there I get this mental picture of a slightly less snarky P. J. O'Rourke.
