I had a good week , seriously as long school is fine it's all that matters right now.

Lesbian soap of the week …. I like to think it's all a big stupid soap all this sexual vibe that goes around fall … girls want to find someone before it's too cold out here. It's insane.

I meet this girl from BC thursday… well she meet me more than I meet her. She came up to me with this beer ticket at Unity and said she was leaving and 5 min later she was still there by the dance floor probably regretting giving me her last beer ticket cuz I just plainly said oh thanks. So I go see her and tell her that there's better ways to introduce yourself without losing instantly someone's interest … haha I'm so bitch can't believe she followed me after that to Parking where we sneaked in for free. Then after making out a lot some of my school's friend came up to me saying she was with Martha. my 3 year long lil crush … and she had dumped her longterm girlfriend this summer ! damn why the hell I picked up some random cutie tonight I though myself. So I ran away with the BC girl before anyone notice I was picking her up. I don't want to ruin my chances with Martha but I wanted to go home with someone that night. Then when we get to my place to smoke a joint she's like all nervous and check her messages and her BC monogamous long-distance girlfriend had called … so she declined and went home … Fuck this ! Girls mess around and then change their minds all the time … common ! don't go to someone's place to hang out after a night out when you made out all night not expecting this to go on. Girls girls girls … I'm so macho sometimes… I should have abandon her in the bar and go flirt with Martha I know she likes me… well she used to 2 summers ago but I was way girly … I feel tough since last summer I like being mistaken for a boy sometimes … my hips aren't small enough though I think … they're not huge either but definitely girly … There's a guy at work who calls me pretty boy and I love that. He says it's from a zombie movie I haven't seen where there's this pretty androgynous blonde girl looking just like me.

It's a pretty exciting week coming up

There's Pop Montreal : Thursday Joanna Newsom in a fuckin' church ! it's going to be so amazing ! Harp + folk band + winy voice = Musical Orgasm
And I'll be volunteering to get to see as much show I can for free and I'll be helping at L'autre Gallery 4 St-Paul E. in the old port for the arts and craft part of the festival … this is really cool.

Also it's Viva Montreal presented by La Centrale / Powerhouse gallery / Articule ect. : It's going to be 2 weeks of Performance art all arounf the Mile End … On oct. the 8th there will be a performance by Devora Neumark at 14:00 but I'll be at work ,,, that lady is the godmother of performance in Canada. Too bad I'll miss it.

And finally the SG Burlesque next week we should have a pre-drink … I'll make some post about it on the forums.

Hi everyone ! I'm having my first show at the VAV Gallery (1395 Rene-Levesque W. corner of Cresent) on June the 27th at 7:00pm we're having a little vernissage and it'd be really fun to see you there.

Julia and I are both 1st year photography students addressing issues of queer representation through portraiture and in my case through self-portraiture.

My series In the Navy is a small narrative about the adventurous, romantic and dangerous life of a (gay) sailor. Through this project, I have had the opportunity to explore my interest in cliches of masculinity and homoeroticism. Using a dream-like, 1920s silent film style, I am appropriating classic gay sailor imagery in order to confront issues of historical queer stereotypes.

By locating my subject-position as a lesbian/queer woman, I am interested in exploring other facets of queer/gay male culture and stereotypes in this body of work. I am especially interested in the in the relationship between homosocial institutions (the Navy in this case) and homosexual representation of desire through iconic imagery. By dressing as a male (and as a genderfucked drag queen), I am also addressing my own interest in female masculinity and gender bending/ genderqueer culture.

See you there
