Hello.

I'm drinking tea and waiting for my breakfast to finish cooking.

It's Canadian Thanksgiving. After I eat I'm going to get the bus to the grocery store to buy a chicken or a small turkey to make for me.

My roommate is never home. She goes to school and has a boyfriend both in another city. She left a week ago today and she will not be back until this Thursday. She's moving out soon.

I'm learning Visual Basic and I really like it. Someday soon I'm going to start writing txt-based RPGs. cHix0rz representin.

I forget how to do this.

If my new job didn't block SG, I would update my "blog" at least once a day and I'd be the best inernet friend ever. Sooooo active. Right now I spend all day online and I'm not really into it by the time I get home.

Right, so:

* I have a new job. It fucking kicks ass. Long-time internet friends may remember that I was a civil servant for the Department of Environment and Local Government a few years ago. I have the same job now, except now we're just the Department of Environment. I am a secretary. I handle the inter-office mail, answer the phone, schedule meetings, make sure my bosses know which meetings they're going to, and that's pretty much it. I fucking love it. I mostly do nothing all day, which is another reason why I wish SG wasn't blocked. Nothing was blocked when I worked there a few years ago, but apparently the IT division is smartening up. Fair enough.

* I got the primary assessment for my student loan in the mail about a week ago. They are giving me monies for school, so I will be moving to Saint John over the Labour Day weekend. Yee-haw! I'm actually pretty psyched to get down there. I am really tired of Fucktown. I will be living with my awesome friend Jen somewhere uptown. I'll buy my groceries from an actual market. I will wake up and see boats every day.

* I bike to work whenever it is not raining. It's faaar. Not really far, but far enough. It takes me about half an hour to get there from where I live. There are foot paths which I can take most of the way, which significantly reduces the risk of death by car. Also it's prettier. I'm not used to this much physical activity yet. Plus my ass is killing me.

* Oh yeah, I really dig the new lay-out. I am not used to it and I don't know where everything is yet, but aesthetically speaking, SG4 kicks the crap out of SG3.

Question: What was the last thing you ate?

Me: Kraft Dinner. I dream of tuna nigiri.

I wanted to wait to do the "real update" until I have a "real profile pic," but that won't be until at least Sunday, and that seems really fucking far right now.

So here's what's new with me in a nutshell:
* I hated my call centre job and it was literally making me crazy, so I had to quit. Now I'm waiting for the pills to take affect, and wondering how I will be able to afford the re-fills since I no longer have health insurance.

* I write a sex column now and it is my favourite thing in the world. You can read it here, here, and here. It's the same whichever one you pick. I like to think of it as syndication. Updated Thursdays.

* I am starting another job as a secretary for the government on June 5th, through the end of August.

* On September 2nd, I'm moving away to learn to be a code monkey. I've wanted to learn more geek stuff for a while and that kind of thing pays pretty well, I hear. I already have lots of friends in Stinktown and I visit often. I will be living with a cool girl named Jen when I move down, and possibly a nice boy named Daniel too.

That about covers it.

I'm back for a whole year, by the way.
