Not really much to say, or have i forgot to mention that i can't stand winter and cold days...

Ola!

I can honestly say that i can not live a day without music. I grew up with my dad always listening to Jimi hendrix and all the other great pioneers of Rock music and my mom would always play roots reggae or motown. I remember as a kid that i was always so amazed by there record collection (altough as a kid you don't really understand the value). Then the damn CD's where introduced and i remember clearly they asked me if i wanted there records. But offcourse i said no which untill this day i really regret.

Why? well i collect vinyl and i probably bought all the records back they used to have lol. Another thing that i cleary remember is my brother and a nephew where always bying hip hop records (which would now be old- old skool). So at an early age i started to make music on the Amiga and before i knew it, i was making beats and later i found myself on stage with some hiphop acts. But in 96 i defenitly lost my interest in hiphop and defenitly dislike the stuff i hear now.

I took up an audio engineering course too, but i never finished it. I stil have tons of Chemical brother like songs laying on the shelf but the lack of time stops me from being busy with music. (you can find some old stuff here

Non the less discovering new or old music is always a pleasure. I would think i am pretty wide ranged in taste. Atlough any top 40 stuff can directly catch a bullet from me. But sometimes there are little gems that become main stream. And i really think Nina Kinert is one of them.

And you might wonder why as an European i am damn happy with it?
I don't think a lot of Us citizens really realize what an impact there country has on the world in many many ways. (Besides the econemy, just think about culture,music, movie, food, clothing or even every day television influence)

So yay for a change that benefits the world and hopefully a new change for a beutiful country that sometime seems so divided. And i know a change isn't always easy, but you can't go more down when you are near rock bottom right? Let's go for it..no matter where you live..

Hello everbody

Lately things are going better to good. Then again i don't even think i was in a position to complain.
So next week i am starting a job for a company called Dutch exchange. It is only 3 days in the week, but at least for now it is enough to cover all my bills. and that means the other days i can fully work on my own stuff and making that grow. So double yay. I think it will be good to get out of the house again..despite that i incredibly love being at home, working at home with the people i work with everyday. But at this moment i have no choice then to be hired for 3 days a week. Like i said..at least i can build my own foundation with having more security..

So according to some blogs and hypes tonight Aliens will visit our lovely planet (near alabama?).
It all has to do with a prediction from a medium i never heard off, but people seem to believe it more than Micheal jackson believed he was only playing games with Mcully culkin. They would come in love and peace and show us or bring us all to a higher energy level. (Almost like the mayan 2012 prediction). Anyway, I am not going to judge at all. Just thought it was entertaining to read up about it on several blogs. you tube.

So if you live near alabama, keep your eyes on the skies cause they suppose to be there for 3 days.

So what is going on in Menno land?

Well first of all, I became an uncle again of a darling little angel called Emma Sophie.
I am really proud of the little munchkin, so i can only imagine how my brother feels.
My niece Robine loves her, but finds her extremely boring, since she is only sleeping lol.



So I finally bought a ukulele, and i am really effing digging it. It is pretty easy to learn the basics, and before you know it, you are jamming out some songs. Maybe this is the best you can do , when you are getting to old to be a Rockstar lol. But hey, nothing wrong about playing some hendrix tunes right? At least the happy melodies make me forget that it is the changing of the seasons. And what better way to play blues when you actually have a bad case of winter blues. At least i effing hate fall and winter and maybe going to Asia will help me again.
(if i can get the finances)

Yeah Finances, lets keep this is a happy post en not even talk about work or finances.
Maybe i am just stretching this way to long and i should look at out for a part time job or something.
But is still feels like giving up a little bit. But on the other hand, struggling each month to pay bills and working 16 hours a day, isn't healthy either. I gained a lot of weight spending my days like this, and my back is killing me too. And worse of all, i hate complaining, and now it seems all i do is having negative rants..which isn't really the case.

Time to visit a Buddhist / Meditation school in the neighbourhood you might wonder

Anyway,

Till the next Rant, i will be playing the Uke and working.

Sorry guys, Dutch rant..

Jeetje, ik ben echt een beetje laks met posten op de SG website..vergeef me aub.
De waarheid is, is dat ik het gewoon heel druk heb en probeer nog steeds eventueel thuis te werken als designer. Maar wat doe je dan Menno? Tja goede vraag.. Ik hou mijn voornamelijk bezig om grote bedrijven hun plannen te realiseren in virituele omgevingen. Dus als goed voorbeeld, Orange /france telecom is nu actief in Second life en is best succesvol bezig op verschillende vlakken. Dus mijn taak was om samen met hun een idee te ontwerpen en dit na te bootsen (dus bouwen, 3d modeleren en texturen in second life).
Val je al in slaap?

Helaas door de verkeerde hype in Nederland en misschien ook wel de ontwetendheid van veel mensen, plus dat het nu zomer is, komen er op dit moment geen grote projecten binnen. Tuurlijk doe ik nog meer en zit ik niet zielig te wachten in een hoekje, maar grotere projecten zijn nou eenmaal beter in tjing tjig.

Dus ik ben nu op een punt gekomen dat ik maar tijdelijk of vast werk moet gaan zoeken, en dit soort dingen maar of moet loslaten of proberen in mijn vrije tijd te doen. Verdrietig ben ik wel een beetje, omdat het is een passie en om zo iets los te laten is gewoon echt even ruk...

Hoe dan ook..sorry dat ik niet zo heel actief ben allemaal...
