I don't know too many solid dates yet, but I've got the impression I might need to be up there 5/19. Which means that my hypothetical plan would be:
This week: Work, train new kid, internet for living situations, try to stay focused and avoid too much goofing off.
Next Monday: try to wrap things up at work
Next Tuesday: Last day at work, generally slack off and party, execute an as-yet unplanned office goodbye party
Rest of the week: continue working with off-site secret spy ninjas to check out and OK places to live without making a pre-trip up there, trying to lock in a new livespace, start thinking about packing, develop a plan for the move.
Week of the 12th: full-on moving efforts / as much relaxation as possible
extra-long-weekend prior to the 19th: The Move.

As for the actual moving plan, I'm still undecided but am currently leaning towards finding a way to haul my car and drive everything up there myself, for which I would most certainly want to try and recruit a companion. I want to avoid any sort of a convoy/one-person-drives-the-truck-the-other-drives-the-car situation if possible. Depending on cost, I might just get movers to move my actual apartment and then just take the car up separately, but it's more likely to be efficient getting both done in the same trip on the same dime, if I'll be able to. I'd probably, assuming there's time, try to make it a slightly relaxed trip and take stops in SF and PDX and possibly others on the way. I was secretly hoping you'd want to do another drive up, fly back down moving trip.
Regardless, there's some time next weekend/week to plan a party. I'm happy to have you arrange it, but I'm not so sure something like the bus isn't a bit too much. At the same time, I want to see as many people and have as memorable a time as possible.
