I am the Director of all things Technical for a private school and this teacher took it up on themselfves to go an royally fuck over the shit in her room; consisting of 20 MacBooks.

She got it stuck in her head that her Macs needed to be upgraded to Lion. They were Leopard. You cannot got straight to Lion you have to upgrade to Snow Leopard first, then to Lion. She neither planned, prepped or involved me in any of this. She went and bought a LION server, because it ran LION it would give her LION... nope doesnt work that way you twit. Then she bought all these family packs of Lion and Snow Leopard and she opened them, (so she cant return them now) ... none of this works because her Macs don't have enough RAM; so now shes gotta buy 40 1gb RAM sticks and who gets to do fix all of this shit?

So while my friendzone woes were going on somebody "found me" on a dating site and reached out. Until the one issue was resolved i felt it wasnt right to be engaging in anything else. The old addage "it never rains but it pours" comes to mind.

I never considered myself to be the kind of person who "has em all lined up" but in this case apparently, I am that guy. The whole friendzone thing went up like the Hindenburgh, oh the humanity. So i decided to reach back out to the one whom contacted me. I chose wisely.

We began to talk online and chat on the phone and we met in person at a tavern local to her (Feb 27th). We had dinner and talked until we lost track of time...we talked for for almost 4hrs. It wasnt until the staff was flipping up chairs that we checked the time and split. We talked some more in the parking lot, hugged and went our respective ways.

A few hours go by and she sent me a text thanking me for the wonderful evening and how much fun we had; and that we will definitely have to do it again soon; like the following weekend, and we did (Mar. 5th), i took her out to dinner, a movie, and drinks after. again the evening was timeless. I took her home and at her door step, we hugged, kissed her on the cheek and said goodnight.

The next day or so she invited me to her place for dinner and a movie for later in the week, tonight (Mar9th). She is making dinner and I am bringing bread.

***UPDATE on my Mother***


surgery removed all of the cancer

she is having a port installed tomorrow for chemo on Monday

the chemo is only a precaution

w/o the chemo she as a 65% chance of survival beyond 5 yrs
with the chemo she as an 85% chance of survival beyond 5 yrs

I feel i need to post this somewhere and here's as good as any...

My mother has stage III colon cancer

Three months ago:
She has soriatic rheumatoid arthitis and been dealing with a nagging flu/cold that wouldn't go away, so Dr's did various tests; bloodwork & such.

Two months ago:
Find outs she's anameic with an unknown cause. They put her on an iron supplement, but it makes her violently ill and vomitting. they tried a few other things, but nothing was helping.

About a month ago:
The Doc's scheduled her for an endosocpy & colonoscopy just to be safe. The arthtirs doc decided it was all caused by the RA and wanted to cancel the the scopes, but was overuled by the family doc

March 8th:
She has the endoscopy...finds fuck all, has the colonoscopy and they find "something" that appears to be malignant, they biopsy it and several lymph nodes. initial biospies according to surgeon are benign.

March 12:
SURGERY; the resected her bowel, cut out the bad & spliced back the good; sent the whole lot for pathology tests and sampled a bunch of lymph nodes.

March 16th:
Full pathological biosies come back and say STAGE III COLON CANCER. she needs chemo (but a dif kind that doesnt make you puke or make your hair fall out according to one doc)

Trying to stay upbeat I joked: Chemo Lite, More Hair Less Cancer; Mom thought it was funny. Dad and Doc... not so much

Today she has a CT Scan with a special dye to illuminate where it's spread to and the oncologist says that she is a good canidate for a number of programs and trials, but they cant do squat for like a month until shes healed from the surgery....

I am so overwhelmed that i am emotionally numb...
