Hungry for fuel, and open to anything, kind of, I've created a pretty interesting few days.:

Saturday I'm at Criminal records in Atlanta for an hour of wateverrrrrrr - thats at 3pm - loads of coffee.
Sunday - is Mobile AL - Sartori Coffee house - thats a combination whatever I never go there so we'll see kind of thing. a bit of seminarrrr a bit of spinning
Monday starts to get crazy
2 events at the University Of New Orleans - closed lectures - one is legal maters in the music business, not sure what the other one is - this goes til 8pm or so then I'm spinning at the HiLo Lounge in New Orleans
Tuesday I'm at the Presonus Audio factory in Baton Rouge doing something interesting with their supercool gear - then there is another FREE seminar at the L Bar - from 6 til 9 and there will be some free equipt from them. I'm spinning later on and there will also be a performance from the very cool Torrent Vaccine
Wednesday I'm at the University Of Memphis
Thusday i might be off again....what a lazy basterd!
Friday 2 events at a university then on to Vintage Vinyl in St Louis at 5pm then I'm spinning in between bands at the late nite show at The Creepy Crawl.........

ahoy.

just got your book in the mail today from amazon. holy fuck, it's big for a book that's just dedicated to touring! i don't even think This Business of Music is that big. nice! i admire your balls, sir. but more than that, i just admire the fact that you probably put everything you know about touring (which is extremely valuable to us other musicians btw) into this text

anyway, your book received some great reviews and i'm looking forward to reading it. even though i have a bit of a love/hate thing going on with your current SG posts, i have a feeling, having the more focused medium of a book format will pull all the best of your experience together into the sort of book i've been dreaming about for years. i'm tired of buying these other so-called tour books written by old studio jazz musicians and such. while i'm sure their advice is helpful to other old jazz musicians having toured fifty years ago, the anecdotes and rest of the material they write about really is from a different era and approach to touring and doesn't benefit someone like me all that much. so something like your book from a dude who's in relatively the same genre as my own is a true godsend. and i thank you for writing it (even though i haven't had a chance to read it yet).

later, dude.

If what SuicidePuppies just said is true, I will be purchasing your book. Along with "This Business of Music", apparently. I know nothing of this industry, and as such, what I'm here to message you about:

Is your offer for free band advice available? My band is just firing up, and bound for greatness. I have seen your NewsWire posts on SG before, but I never read them until your newest one (Turning 21!). To be honest, I fucking hate half the shit that is typed on SuicideGirls by their psuedo-elitist, quasi-apathetic, and semi-sarcastic editors and members.

But I read your newest article, just to "see what this was all about". Good thing you posted links to all your past articles! I sat there and read for hours (because I was eating, half the time). I learned a lot. You inspired me. A LOT.

So I didn't open up "NotePad" or "Microsoft Word" and start typing, I actually grabbed a fucking pen and paper. I sat. And all I can think about was what you said about needing a strategy, and how you quoted Sun Tzu... So I wrote. And I came up with a plan for our band over the course of the next half-year, and long-term goals for the next two years.

I would like to have my band, my ideas, my strategy evaluated and constructively-criticized by you, if that's okay. Feel free to quote it all and type about it on the SG NewsWire. As long as I get to have your no-holds-barred experienced brain pour into mine, I am happy.

I know you sound like you have a busy schedule ahead of you for the next short while, but no worries, my band and I still have some kinks to work out in this plan over the course of the next few days, but once we're done that, would you care to take a look-see at our strategy entitled "The Battle Plan For The Wrecktals"?

Thank you for your much respected time.
