I was hit with the realization that 2009 marks the 10th year since I graduated high school. That is all
Man, I didn't realize I'd been away for so long until I saw the last post I made before I went grey
What can I say, it's nice to be back, and Thanks to my mystery benefactor who brought me back from the great beyond
So, how's 2008 treating me so far?
1. Ipod mysetriously dies, need to get it sent away for replacement (minor, but still a pain in the ass)
2. Got in a fender bender- nobody hurt, but still something I have to spend money on that I really could have done without.
3. Lost my job. Was prety abrupt, so I didn't have any backups really lined up. Im working on getting something new (as not working and starving to death wont serve me well)
Now the good:
Had a fight, and my opponent was one of the grappling instructors at his club, and I submitted him with a beautiful armbar transitioned from a triangle choke in the first round.
Got a copy of my fight from october (and seeing how Im an unemployed shlub, I ripped it onto youtube)

I know I probably shouldn't be in any shape for cognitive thought come January first, and when you have five days of slothfulness, it makes it pretty easy to come up with some new years resolutions a week or so ahead of the deadline for them. I also know that when you commit to something and have it written down somewhere it's easier to stick to. Path of least resistance and all that shit. So, in no particular order...
My resolutions for 2008.
1. More Saturday nights out than in. This is a no brainer that I shouldn't have to resolve in order to do. But I am. So there.
2. Quit eating like shit. I'm pretty good with this already, but almost like clockwork, anytime I have to babysit the parent's dog, I fall off the wagon. No way I'll sport a physique like Brad Pitt's if I keep doing that.
3. Be less negative Now, I'm not saying I'll drop the negativity altogether, but I resolve to be more free with the compliments... to people other than pretty girls, too (pretty girls will probably just get more by default too)
4.Be better with money Vacations cost money. (That blow ain't going to do itself off that hookers ass in vegas is it?)
5. Devote more time to people who make me better I'll be the first person to admit I can be sort of aloof. There are certain people who I really should make a point of being around more, because they help me become better, whether through indirect or direct means.
There, five things to work on for the next year. I reserve the right to amend or add to the list as needed.

Well, it's been a little longer that I thought since I've done any sort of update. Not much new in my particular corner of the globe- got the weddings I had to attend out of the way (My sisters was pretty good, my ffriends had more geriatrics in one place than Ive ever seen- lets just say almost everyone under 30 was out of the reception by 10:30) And I had another fight, got one more notch in the Win column, Via my move of choice, the ever deadly Triangle choke- with pictures too!

I've been taking a quick 10-15 minutes the last few nights to draw a random picture from one of the days sets. some have turned out better, some worse, but really, I don't think I can really do any of them justice.
T minus 27 days until I'm slated to fight again. Is it a bad thing that I'm considering the weddings of my sister and my best friend (back to back weekends) to be not much more than obstacles to my training regimen?
Great success! I am internetted again! Just in time to have to go to Toronto for the weekend
I moved into a new place on the fifth of September. I am still waiting for the internet to get hooked up. I have watched every single DVD I own, and every ill-gotten movie or TV show on my computers hard drive. I'm getting a quick fix of internetology while I do some laundry at the parents place (My place has a washer and dryer in suite, but its on the fritz and will be fixed the same day I get the net hooked up, which isn't until the 20th)
