Check out these lovely folks!

I actually got to go to a cool club and dress nice. Can you believe that was the first time that I heard NIN in a public setting?
Today's been fucked up. Good news, bad news, good news, bad news, going to see Transformers. I so do not want to see it but a friend bought me a ticket and is dragging me. Excuse me while I go get high to make the movie better...
PS: Check Member Review on July 6th @ 4AM PST. Just sayin'.

Check out my new industrial piercing! I've wanted one of those for a long while now.
Things are finally starting to straighten themselves out. I had a few really shitty weeks there but I suppose that's life. Tonight I'm going to go see X-Men and forget my troubles for a bit.
This is how I'm feeling lately:

Summer's almost here! <3 And soon I'll have more pretty pictures in MR.

And this beautiful woman is my new hero:

Brigette DePape, I salute you for standing up and brining more awareness to our country. We need it.
Back to being less serious: here's me promoting beer!

I haven't really been posting much lately because all the stuff I've really cared about has been, to many people, boring.
If you'd rather skip my boring ramble feel free to look at these pretty pictures of me from my last blog.

"I drew him [President Eisenhower] with Canadian Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent. Their relationship was frosty at best!"
I've closely followed Canadian politics since I was in junior/high school but I never really knew of what the government was like before 1999. So when I was at a used book sale last week I picked up a copy of "Toward a Just Society" by Pierre Trudeau. I didn't really know much about the man so I started reading up on Wikipedia this evening. According to wiki, he was a rather interesting fellow; 'republican' leanings but yet a socialist yearning that almost had him working for the NDP. I guess it makes sense that he wound up with the centre party!
And then I started reading about Tommy Douglas, the first leader of the NDP. I found it interesting how he fought for universal heath care because he almost lost his leg due to his parents' lack of money.
Here are some helpful mnemonics for Canadian political history, care of The Simpsons:
Quiet Nerds Burp Only Near School
This helps you to remember the four founding provinces of Canada: Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario, & Nova Scotia.
Clowns Love Haircuts, So Should Lee Marvin's Valle
This helps you remember the last eight governer generals: Adrienne Clarkson, Roméo LeBlanc, Ray Hnatyshyn, Jeanne Sauvé, Edward Schreyer, Jules Léger, Roland Michener, and Georges Vanier.
Because I'm sure you were just dying for a way to remember that stuff.
And since you put up with all of that, I left you a present in the queue:

And have you seen Lemmy_? She'll be kicking the queue's ass soon too!

Today things are kind of ass. But here's some cool pictures from yesterday:

I call these my Veruca Salt pictures:

Daddy, I want a squirrel!!
Still chipping away at Lemmy_'s set... I'm such a slow 'shopper.

Here's a funny combination of photos from Rivet's camera:

Macabria, as pictured in Hong Kong.

Jack Layton in Courtenay, BC. He's an awesome speaker in person. He was laughing because people kept shouting, 'get 'em, Jack!' and booing whenever he mentioned Stephen Harper.

My roommate and I at the Hip Hop vs. Harper rally in town.

My roommate and I and our local MP.
I've decided to stop bitching and start doing. I've called my favourite local political party and I'm going to start volunteering my time to promote their platform. I'm also going to start working harder on my book. Also exercise. Sometime. Maybe.
I can't stop listening to Queen's "I want to Break Free"...
Ta!

I'm disappointed by my country and its failed voting system. If something's broken it needs to be fixed.
Fuck you, Stephen Harper and each of your douche bag Conservative seat warmers.
You will never and have never been my Prime Minister.
It's all up to you now, Jack.

Here's some important advice, Canada...

Other than work, politics have taken up all of my time lately. I'm pretty concerned with the outcome of this election, given that I think Stephen Harper is a douche bag. In somewhat positive news, however, Jack Layton of the NDP is going to be on Vancouver Island this week so I am making plans to attend his rally!
I've been too stressed out lately. Here's a picture of me in more relaxed times: smoking a cigar and drinking from a coconut.

I'm safely home now but I already miss Hong Kong. What a neat place...

Though I certainly am not going to miss the 14 hour plane flight. Air China sucks ass.
We went to a Madame Tussaud's there! Here's some silly photos...

Oh, Brad Pitt; you've stolen my heart with your flamboyant clothes in Fight Club.

Nice job, Rivet!

Bruce Lee's a pretty cool guy.

I'm getting by with a little help from my friends. <3
And we'll see how well this goes, but I shot another set too.

And I'm editing Lemmy_'s first set. She's a super hottie with mile long legs:

I feel like a bag of smashed up assholes so I'm gonna go to sleep now. I think I posted enough pictures to make this a decent enough blog, which is great because I can't really think right now. I didn't get jetlag but about four people around me on the plane kept sneezing and coughing... yuck.

Here's hint #2! This one is a little more obvious... Click for super full size!

This place is awesome and I don't want to leave so soon. Oh well, I know I'm coming back here again sometime.
