Life update time! On November 15th I cut my finger open quite badly with an exactoknife. I was trying to do some home repairs and... oops, slice! I had to go and get five stitches to keep the wound closed as it was right over the joint on the middle finger of my right hand. Thank jeebus that I'm left handed.
The doctor said I was super lucky to have missed my tendons, but now, two weeks later, I get told that I clipped some of my nerves. I can only feel pressure on that finger now and that's it. It feels constantly numb. Kinda sucks. And after that, a nurse comes in and tells me that I'm going to have a very unpleasant scar over the joint and that it's going to hurt to move said finger for a long time because of it. AS SHE'S CLIPPING THROUGH MY TISSUE TO GET THE STITCHES OUT. Fucking ow.
Randomly: I'm jealous of all you Americans that have had some time off.

Later this month I'm going to a symphony performance downtown, two work-related spa days, gift shopping, and then it's Christmas time in retail (which means my soul will be chained to my store).
In other news: my roommate wants to get a shark tattooed on her ass. Should I encourage this? Y / N?
