Yeah, I'm still around. I've been busy with lots of life stuff lately, hence the lack of presence here. I can't say it's all been good... but I can't say it's all been bad either.
QUICK STATS:
- playing Fallout: New Vegas
- landed quite an important political role
- cleaning up the home front, getting my life organized, kicking roommates out
- trying to volunteer more (and am currently succeeding at that)
- watching more TV (I'm not so out of the loop anymore!)
- overall: trying to figure out where I want to be in five years
Sorry that I haven't been around, folks. I'm such an absolute bleeding heart liberal and that's been occupying all of my time. I've been trying to push my country into doing the right thing. I've been working with my local Member of Parliament on many issues; the most important to me being rights for transgendered individuals. And I just fired off an e-mail to the "Prime Minister" about that damned pipeline.
I've also been following the Occupy Wall Street movement. I just donated to their cause so that they can get out there and inform even more people with a newspaper-style flyer. My friend Joey Chaos made this epic song using sound clips from MSNBC about the protest. He did an awesome job.
But in non-political related news, Saturday is my birthday. I'm going to be 25. How odd.
Good night and good luck,
Macabria
Carry on. Nothing to see here.

The man that always had my vote has passed away. Jack Layton was like a breath of fresh air in politics. The smile that he was wearing in that picture was the smile he always wore. I still feel pretty heartbroken, so I went to my local NDP office and left my condolences.
I'd always hoped that he'd represent my country as Prime Minister... but at least he made huge strides for his party and demonstrated what one person can do. And he was able to witness that before he passed.
If you haven't read his last letter yet, I suggest you do. It's extremely touching that a man that's on his deathbed is terminally optimistic. I still cry every time I read it.
An excerpt:
My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.
Anyway, I'm tired of crying. Let's talk about something else.
I've been working on my illustrations, hoping that I can crank out something good enough to publish one day.
Oh, and I got a new tattoo. Lol, Harry Potter reference and +100 badass points added resulted in this:

This webcam shot does it no justice though...
And if you missed it the last time, take a look at the beautiful picture that NerdMachine drew...

This Weekend With Macabria:
- had a small gathering of folks over for a going away party
- played designated driver twice and didn't mind a bit
- backed up into a friend's car but only damaged mine
- got a full glass of ice cold water dumped in my lap in a restaurant
- went to my store and kept it functioning despite a call-in
- played way more Fallout 3. Shout out to Comic_Guy for the protip about ammo behind Megaton!
- started making nerdy things for our gigantic Halloween Harry Potter party (I'll post 'em as I finish 'em!)
- learned more in Paint Tool SAI to make better art
Aaaand last but not at all least, look at the beautiful picture that NerdMachine drew...

This gentleman is a very talented artist and I'm flattered to be his subject!
- Nearly got a fine for public drinking while I was not, in fact, drinking in public.
- Showed my boobs to a stripper and got a poster.
- Got made out with. I'm pretty bad at that though and he was drunk so I'm sure it was disappointing.
- Drank from a jug of beer but only had a cup's worth.
- Smoked a joint.
- Smoked another.
- Had a cigar.
- Drove a friend home while he puked out the window and I ordered McDonald's*.
Oh! And I started playing Fallout 3 and decorating my house for Halloween.

(Disclaimer: I was not driving while drunk or high. That's not cool, kids. I waited for several hours until I was 100% sober.)

I've put the deposit down on my next tattoo; it's nerdy as fuck but it'll still match my other pieces. I'll just post a picture once it's done. Appointment's on the 24th.
Check out the new outfit I bought:

lololol. It's for an upcoming photo shoot with a local tog.
I'm reading Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite again. It's an excellent book although I'm not quite sure who I could recommend it to.
I want a hug but since I can't have one I'm going to get stoned instead.
G'night.

It made me sad but I also liked it. Some scenes hit oddly close to home and I don't know how often I could watch it, if again.

I had a nice weekend. Relaxing and reading at the beach, clubbing with friends from out of town.
My ideal meal: salad bar and a coke in a glass bottle
That is all.

Go leave some comments on her first set.
Thanks for all the nice comments on my new set, folks.
Things that are awesome right now:
1) I'm getting snuggled by a kitten.
2) I'm snacking on Doritos. These used to taste like ass but they're really good right now, I swear!
3) I have a desktop computer in my room now!
4) My boss said I'm doing a good job at work.
5) My room is super clean even if the rest of the house isn't.
6) I'm reading Hearts in Atlantis and it's not bad.
7) I have a tattoo appointment tomorrow so I can get my back worked on. (see below picture to note how unfinished it is, lol)
