I had a great birthday full of all sorts of reasons to be happy (and a few reasons to want to slap people). We ended up taking over a tiny Karaoke bar in San Diego and turning it into "Metal Night" with our sheer awesome power of numbers... and awesome. Here are a few highlights.

From the camping trip a week before.

Guess which part of Bohemian Rhapsody this was?

They had a sign in the bathroom that made us all laugh.. it became our mascot for photos.

My mustache is looking a bit thick...

Mister Dicky Dick head doesn't like big penises on his television.

From one of the games we played....

My friend that makes amazing geeky aprons did me all up to do a few photos with her stuff. Here's the finished product. I clean up rather well..

And now... happy.
The real celebration for my birthday happens tomorrow with my friends in San Diego. I'm looking forward to it!

Unfortunately I will not have an excited zebra man at my birthday... but I thought everyone should have this picture to share with their friends on their birthdays. It's the best one i got sent to me.
And what makes me happy? The silly cartoons and photos that my friends send me to let them know they think of me. Usually they're twisted and weird or Doctor Who related (and probably still twisted and weird)... but that just means they know me very well!
The only thing I really want for my birthday is a smile and positive comment from every person that they really believe in. I want to hear why, no matter what happens, your life is great. Even if it doesn't always seem like it: show me your smile and tell me why you're happy to live another day.
That's what I want. No money; no presents, just smiles and positive thoughts.
It's coming up this weekend and I'm super behind on my planning and costumes. I might just go in non themed outfits more this time around... since most of my themed outfits no longer fit me due to weight loss. (It's such a bittersweet feeling isn't it? To know you lost weight and feel great about yourself but know that your amazing outfits will now look completely ridiculous?)
I think I will pull Jessica Rabbit out of the closet and give her another go at the con this year though. And I'm currently working on a very silly outfit that will be ready in time for next year.
Who else is going to comic con? And are any of your interested in meeting up? I'm not as super in demand this year so I'll have free time for panels and lunches

OMG BIRTHDAY
So I turned 24 this past week (or so...). That was fun.
Brought it in with Steel Panther. Backstage passes, dancing on stage, hanging in the back room with Corey Feldman and Dane Cook, the guitar player leaning down to tell me happy birthday. I love those guys. Seriously. I believe a certain other SG member was there looking at Michael Starr's penis cake as well.
No I didn't punch Dane in the face, yes I already knew Corey, who was a bit trashed and hilariously so. And yes it really is the best 'new' band to see live.
I also flashed my boobs a lot. It happens.
Pictures hopefully to come soon when my boyfriend actually sends them to me.
Other than that it's been a lot of crafting, trying to teach myself how to knit and crochet again... well to be fair i can knit and crochet just fine it's the starting the piece that screws me up. /curse you
Busy busy. But finally getting back to interwebs land a little at least.
OH!!!! I also got this:
And um: OUCH. Seriously. Was just an annoying pain the whole 5.5 hours i got it (they were filming LA ink when I did laughing about how silly the stories for the tattoos they were doing are) and now that it's done... it just itches. Seriously. Like 1000 little tiny people are all tickling my underboob with 1000 little feathers.
