Hey, now that 4 straight years of school are done and I have real degrees and a career and have my life heding in a good direction, it's hard not to look back on the long, strange trip it's been and not be in awe of how I got where I am. I'm very thankful for the opportunities that I have and I want to spend more time with friends (who all seem to be married or have kids now). Yeah 30s!

Just climbed out of Aravaipa Canyon on a three day hike. Glad to report that the massive floods of 2006 didn't totally destroy the raparian haitat there. Not too manner critters, but damn good times.

Howdy, I don't wake up in the morning and decide how my day is going to play out, but I still attempt to influence my surroundings. I have my goals, my dreams and aspirations and I work with what I've got to pursue them. Navigating all the obstacles is what life is about. I can deal and you should be able to as well. I appreciate motivation, passion, intelligence and humor. You should have an opinion about things that you can explain with reasoning other than "that's what the Bible says". It's OK to disagree or say 'I don't know', just so long as you are thinking.
