I'm having my tattoo touched up tonight! Yea!
I hope to add some things in around it as well.
I'd like some dahlias maybe above and below. I tried to find pictures of dahlia tattoos online to get an idea
of what kind of things could be done. Dahlias are pretty complex flowers and I don't want to overwhelm the
bat. I definately want dahlias though, because my bridal bouquet was all dahlias (and I saw a bat in the wild
for the first time on our honeymoon, See, it does tie together!)
Anyway, I'll post pictures when all is said and done!

I got a new fancy! It's about 2 weeks old. We need to do some touch ups here and there, but overall
I'm very happy with it. Enjoy!

You all were right. The apartment rezoning situation turned out really well for us.

We found a fucking AWESOME loft downtown. 1,752 sq ft. at less than a dollar a sq. ft.!!! Right now we are living in about 600 sq ft. Talk about a fucking improvement!

Building features include:
- 2000 sq ft fitness room
- yoga studio
- library
- rooftop pool
- art galleries
- tons more shit that I'm forgetting

We move in on December 16th. I fuckin' dyin' here!
I can wait to post pictures... biggrin

In happier news, me and Tyson just celebrated our first wedding anniversary!!

We spent the weekend in Austin and had a total blast. It was nice to just relax and
have fun together without worrying about work and school and all the bullshit at home.
I even got to see the bats for the first time!

And now, the weekend commemorated in pictures:

So, yeah, today we found out that our apartments are going to be bulldozed. The area has been "rezoned" for super-condos with underground parking. Our apartments are those quiant 60 year old ones with wooden floors and PERSONALITY! They are in a very nice area so we've been able to enjoy a safe quiet neighborhood. Apartments in safe quiet neighborhoods are rare in Dallas.

I found out through a phone call from an old neighbor. We moved to the other side of the complex last year, and I hadn't talked to her since then. She asked me if we were going to move. I thought that was a weird question are told her no. Then she told me about the "neighborhood improvement" plans. After we got off the phone I looked up the minutes from the recent city hall meetings. It was all there.

The apartment managers weren't going to tell us. Basically they were going to keep it a secret, then tell us we had 30 days to get out. It's supposed to happen next year sometime, but that could be January 2007 or December 2007. We'll start looking for a new place now. Me and my husband both are pretty devastated. We love our little home! frown mad blackeyed puke

Hello everyone! How are we doing today?

- I'm kicking ass and taking names in both Digital and Advanced Electronics classes.
The semester is young yet, so there is still plenty of time for me to fuck up. All I know
is that I'm doing well now and I feel good about that.

- The rats are doing pretty well. Now Pennington has enlarged kidneys and is on
antibiotics. I think it's the medicine that is causing the penis problems. Once Pete
came off the medincine his penis went back to normal. Now Pennington's is
messed up. I can't wait until 7 days are up.

- Tyson got back from Comicon last Sunday. It sounds like he had a really good time.
He caught up with several artists he has worked with before, and met several that
hopefully he'll work with in the future. He also brought home a couple of really cool
vinyl toys, some great belt buckles and a resin Beefcake the Mighty statuette. They
must have sold out of Oderus.

- TGIFF!! We can go grocery shopping! We don't have to go to work! Happy days are
here again! At least two happy days anyway.

- I really need some slow, calming music right now. I'm not usually into slow music, so
I don't have much to choose from. Just songs here and there from different albums.
I guess "slow" isn't really the right word. Just something calming.

That is all for now (and probably for the next month or so), I'm kind of a shitty blogger.

Later days, better lays...

In another rat related incident, Little Pete's penis became stuck outside of it's foreskin today. This can lead to deadly infections, so this could not stand. I was really concerned so of course I had to do something. Luckily all that was needed was a bit of lubrication and Little Pete's little pete found it's way back into it's protective sheath. Oh, the things I do for my rat babies. Will they ever truely appreciate me? I think yes.

Anyway, I'm relieved. We can't handle another vet visit (or bill) this month.

I had to save one of my rats' lives today!

I was cleaning all of the cages so I needed him to come out of his orange juice carton nesting box. You know the ones that look like cartons but have the screw off tops? Instead of coming out of the big cutout bottom, he decided to be a cheeky rat and run the other way. He got more than he bargained for and when he shoved his head through the plastic opening. He crammed himself in so bad that he looked like a Sharpei with all of his skin up around his head. Remember the cartoon where Winnie the Pooh gets stuck in rabbits hole because he ate too much? Well it was like that, except just his head.

Anyway I had to cut him out of it and I was scared shitless. I couldn't even tell how badly it was impeding his breathing. Somehow I managed to cut open the box then very delicately snip the plastic ring without cutting him or breaking his neck. Luckily he was very cooperative. He didn't struggle at all. Rats usually know if you're helping them and they're very good about letting you. Once he was free I started checking him over and he practically leapt into my arms. My poor baby. It ended up being a huge bonding experience. We haven't had him long at all so he's still been pretty shy, but he's now he's acting like he trusts me more. Oh my poor thing. Rats are funny little creatures. I'm so glad he's okay! We just lost another one not long ago, I would have freaked if he had been strangled.

This has just been the cherry on top of a really weird fucking day. Jesus.
