Why is money soo stressful? It's like, there's never enough of it, and in my case, there always seems to be just enough.

In light of recent events, I'm trying to stop feeling sorry for myself, stop worrying about the things in my life that are now missing, and focus on the things in my life that I have. It's a very difficult task. In reality I'm far better off than most, but it feels like quite the opposite right now. It's all a matter of perspective I suppose.

On a lighter note:

One of my horns was in the trunk of the truck that was stolen. I was freaking because it's my "crappy weather" horn, and this is Santa Claus Parade season. So, 2 hours before I leave for my first parade I get a call from a guy who I left a message for, and he's like "yay" I have an old "practice" horn that I picked up for 100 bux a few years ago you can have it if you want. Excited about the prospect of a cheap, playable horn, I drove over to try it out.

It was brutal. The slide (I play trombone) wouldn't move without some serious effort, which, when exhausted caused the horn to literally bounce off my face. I yanked the slide off and had a look at the inner slide and noticed that it was caked up with rust, and calcium, but otherwise free from dents or serious scratches. The old guy offered to loan it to me for a week to "try it out" and I figured, if I could get the rust off i'd be able to make it work.

I took the horn back to my office and had precisely 30 mins to get it in playing condition before leaving for my first parade. Vinegar and water weren't working so I went on the hunt for something else and found: TOILET BOWL CLEANER! (23% Hydrochloric Acid). It worked like a charm - the rust rubbed right off (there was an aweful smell) and after a good rinsing with water and a couple of coats of Slide-O-Mix the slide was in relatively perfect working order! How about that!

The horn is an old beat up Olds Ambassador (student model) and hardly replaces my good condition Getzen 300 series which was stolen, but for 50 bux, a more perfect parade horn could not be found.

Still sucks that the getzen was stolen, `twas my first horn and as such I was quite attached to it, but I guess life goes on - or so they say.

Hope all of your days are a little brighter!

In the past 5 days I've been hit by a deer, rear-ended by an old guy in Chrysler 300 and had my truck stolen.

I keep saying to myself "it'll get better" and then I try to find the meaning...

Sometimes, I guess, life just sux.

I'm so disenchanted right now, so disappointed, and so upset (all of this on the inside) that not even the myriad of gorgeous naked women on this site are making me feel better.

I think I just found a new low.

Either that or I drank too much beer.

I hate school. Well, not so much hate, as dislike. I think I have difficulties with structure. I'm certain I don't like that they tell you they want you to think only to insist that you're not thinking the way they want you to. It's not fair. For what it's worth, I should just be able to pay my $30,000 and get the piece of paper. My General B.A. isn't going to help me get ahead in this world. It'll just sit, framed or unframed somewhere in the basement and collect dust.

You know what though, when I get it, I should just frame it an give it to my parents, they're the ones who want it anyways, not me. I have a great job and am a contributing member of society. I know more people with their BAs asking me if I want fries, or applying to work for me. Stoopid school, stoopid system.

Okay, end rant.

Life is good generally, I just don't want to read any more crummy philosophy papers and write silly non-analytical papers about them.

Check out Mneylu's new set.. she's gorgeous!

Mountains are the coolest thing ever. I can't believe I lived for 24 years without seeing them. Now I want to move to them... just amazing...

I forgot.

Canadian jazz trumpeter/phemomenon Maynard Ferguson died this week. He was one of the last remaining bandleaders of an era now long gone.

Look him up, honor his contribution to music and the jazz world.
