The Ineffible


I've been thinking in symbols again about reality.

consider the following:

written eastern language; vertical lists of a highly numerous symbolic written language. Divergence from the written tongue in contemplation is to the horizon.

the essence of eastern religion; Zen, the depths of reality are horizontal, on the horizon of the present.

Neurological processes for Eastern Languages follow a completely different process than European Languages.

Middle Eastern / European Language. Horizontal, Left to right along the horizon. scanning slowly down the horizon ever closer to one's own position.

Middle Eastern / European Religion: Vertical hierarchies to ascend towards enlightenment, and lesser states to fall down towards to.


now I'd sketch simple geometric shape: two cones pointing downward in the same line until they reach an intersection point, their curved planes expanding ever outward.

The same image could be described as a single point with ever expanding... horizontal edges flaring out in all directions on the horizon.


this is what I like to think about.
