With the start of every new year, one can't help but reflect back over the past year. And years past. Finding life not all that fulfilling, I've been looking at past decisions, but not having regrets. Sometimes I ask for a sign to be shown to me. To let me know which path to take when the road forks. Most of the time, the sign is subtle...and I realize I took the wrong path. No place to U-turn...so I must go on.
I asked for a sign of what to do with life and what could be on my horizon. I got a sign 2:41am...LOUD AND CLEAR...lol....I fell asleep with the TV on, like I normally do. Woke up to the words "Just get married!!!"....It was one of those late night television preachers...Ed Young is his name. Needless to say this freaked me out. He quoted several scriptures that I don't remember. He also threw out the demographic of 32-50 year old single men. Stating that those men, are single by choice. Which freaked me out even more...lol
I've thought twice in past that I met the girl I would marry. Neither one panned out, for one reason or another. I don't think I'm single by choice. I am a social retard...so maybe it is by choice on some level. Who knows?!?!?! Or maybe I just haven't met the proverbial "ONE". Or even worse I have met her...and didn't take my chance to find out. Sounding like a bad episode of "How I met your Mother" here...lol
If my one is out there, then I hope I find her. If she I've met her already, then I hope our paths cross again.

Hearing this late night preacher made me think of Ron White and part of his comedy routine...He starts out...
"I was sitting in a bean bag chair, naked, eating cheetos, when one of those night Televanglist preacher fellas comes on the TV. Preacher says, "have you been drinking?"
Ron chuckles and says,"yeah."
Preacher asks,"Have you been pursuing temptation of the flesh?'
Ron says a little bit louder,"Yes, sir!!!"
Preacher asks," Are you sitting naked in bean bag chair, eating cheetos???"
Ron gets down on his knees in front of the TV and yells, "YES SIR!!!"
Preacher proceeds," Do you feel the need to send me $1000 dollars???"
Ron says,"Whew, thought he was talking to me for a minute"

I guess all things being what the are we can always see signs where we want to find them. But gotta keep a look out...never know where one will appear. surreal

After 20 years of marriage, a couple was lying in bed one evening. Suddenly, she felt her husband begin to fondle her in ways he hadn't in quite some time. It almost tickled as his fingers started at her neck, then moved down past the small of her back, caressed her shoulders and neck. He then slowly worked his hand down over her breasts, stopping just over her lower stomach. He then proceeded to place his hand on her left inner arm, caressed past the side of her breast again, working down her side, passed gently over her buttock and down her leg to her calf. Then, he proceeded up her inner thigh, stopping just at the uppermost portion of her leg. He continued in the same manner on her right side, then suddenly stopped, rolled over and became silent. As she had become quite aroused by this caressing, she asked in a loving voice, 'That was wonderful! Why did you stop?' He said -----'I found the remote'

So, being 1500 miles from home seems to have more drawbacks than I thought. Aside from missing friends and family, and not being on familiar ground...I find myself missing out on all the little things and some big things too!!!

Got a phone call last nite that one of my former co-workers was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was a family man, a hardworker, and prolly one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was headed to work on a country highway when a drunk crossed into his lane and hit him head on. It saddens me that he's gone, but even more so since he leaves behind a 13 yr old son. Services are today back in Texas...guess I'll have to take some moments through the day to say prayers for him and his family.

This will be the third funeral I've missed this year. Wasn't able to say goodbye to Uncle Tony..the cancer took him to quick and couldn't afford a ticket. My friend from high school, Capt. Mike Dodson, died while piloting a B-52 bomber in celebration of Guam's Independence from Japan. Now, missing Big Paul's memorial services. I know those events are kinda sad, but I would have at least liked to have been there to pay my respects.
