School you will be the end of me. Only one class in particular is eating me alive. Of course it's the class that is supposed to be for students years below me, the one with applied math that I, again, cannot understand. Freshmen and Sophmores are A-cing this course, while I'm struggling! At least one of my friends, who is also about to graduate next semester, admitted that she didn't know what she was doing in the same class. I felt a bit better, since both of us are going for the same career, it felt good to know that at least I wasn't the ONLY one that felt lost on some of the subjects and their material.
Today is the day to study. Nice fat exam tomorrow on the subject I know the least about. Cannot wait for 4 p.m. tomorrow, when I will be done with class for the day. Then its home to pack, wake up very early, drive to airport, and fly to the Midwest for a wedding.
Nice day for homework- lots of clouds and rain.

Jeez, I must shower in anti-relationship soap or something... Everytime I let myself get close to a nice girl, it only last a month or so before she runs away. Is it something I said? Am I pushier than I thought? It's difficult to tell when I'm looking in on myself. But whatever. This latest girl would have been awesome to date. But, too busy with school and too far away to make a physical connection last too long.
Maybe I think too much.
Ah well, I'm too busy on other things to worry or focus on dating right now anyhow. But it would be nice to be in a relationship again.
Eventually.

Life has been consistently busy. So many things demand so much of my time.
Hope all is well in this community.
Peace and benevolence.

Steal my bike will you, random thief living in or near the Disney-city?? I'll show you, I'll buy another one.
Strict inconvenience now. Police have much more important issues to deal with than chasing down a stolen bike. Rape, abuse, extortion, etc. Those are the crimes that the Force should focus on. I shall look for my own property myself, and if I hear of no leads within the next few weeks, will have to buy bike again. That'll show 'em.
In other news, busy weekend of BBQ's, International Street Fairs, shop cruising, running into old friends, and getting a crack-down on homework.

I've been thinking more and more that time is coming for a change. Not sure exactly what type of change is needed, but I am thinking that something should be different this time next year.
Roommates/landlords are planning on getting married in a year or so. By that time, I hope to not be living with them anymore. Don't get me wrong; I totally enjoy living here, and I do not know where I would be if this opportunity had not presented itself. And yet, I yearn for something else now. A place of my own again, or at least, a place where I am not simply renting a room in a house from a couple. Problem is, I need concrete monetary security in order to even think about such a drastic change. But all things happen for a reason, and they happen when they are supposed to happen. There's no going back or trying to dramatically alter the path once everything is set in motion.
Right now I am still awaiting a job opportunity to open up. One that I'll actually be invited to interview for. Sending applications day-after-day can get repetitive fast. Also helps to lose focus if one keeps receiving emails stating that they are not qualified for the position and thus, do not meet the basic minimum requirements. Ahhhh well....
Hopefully by the time I have graduated (sweet!) by May 2012, I will have set up for myself a more stable path. Still heavily considering the Navy Reserve. Extra training, extra pay, benefits, experiences. Just have to keep the knee in shape and all should be good to go.
Spent the entire day sitting in an auto shop's customer waiting room watching a national news network repeat footage of the East Coast's hurricane. Now I know every detail of the storm information for the day. Tomorrow I'll have to keep myself updated even more by gluing myself back to the screen.
Or not.
Tomorrow is San Diego for the weekend.
The planet never stops moving.
Oh, I'm also really horny.

Just returned from an hour + walk with one of two of the dogs that I am watching over this week. The temporary dog at my house is a nice Pit mixed with some other breed. He seems to be doing well, considering that he was locked up in a local animal shelter for a couple of months before I was able to find him a home. Though he has a massive head and shoulders, he still seems a bit skittish when it comes to cars, hoses, and other big dogs. Not sure he realizes how big he really is yet... Funny because he gets along great with small dogs.
The second animal with me is permanent. The landlords decided to finally take in a dog of their own. Found a little female Corgi puppy. Their chosen method of training her, since we all have different work/school schedules, is by kennel. I have never really heard much about this method, but they're standing by it. For now, I have to alternate when each animal is outside and where. The Pit gets along fine, but he's just so huge compared to The Corgi, that we're all afraid that he will hurt her by accident. Feisty one she is though.
Applying for jobs everyday, not to mention looking for a new car and waiting for student loan and grant money to come through. Fancy party planned for 'morrow's night. All of the guests must dress to impress, so it should be interesting to see how people look.
Must get ready; friend coming over to test out his new bike.

A little FYI: Sitting in my house, sipping rum & cokes naked as I write this.
Solid good month of July. Spent the week of the Independence Day in the city of Las Vegas. A few friends that I know live there, so two of my friends and I drove up there in the early morning hours. Stayed over at one of my close friend's father's houses in North Vegas. House was way cool; pool in the back so that we could all chill out and drink underneath the hot July sun. From the back wall, there was pretty much a clear shot out to the Strip, meaning that come July 4th, we were able to see all of the fireworks emulating from that area. Very nice way to celebrate the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Drove home immediately following the holiday, but then had to complete laundry and packing for another little vacation.
Spent about a week or so in the Yosemite Valley. Camping, hiking, roasting food, bear sighting, sight-seeing, exploring. Very good times. Since I have never visited Yosemite National Park, it was a solid trip to break me in. Hope to return some time in the near future...
Following the camping, returned home and flew up to Sacramento about two days later. Spent a week visiting with family. Explored the near region of NorCal. Wine-tasting, boating, jumping off of bridges, swimming, tanning, chilling, seeing Old Town Sac, softball, etc. Nice, relaxing time with some of the family. Always good to see them.
Returned home just in time to see July come to a close.
Heard of the death of a friend's father. Attended the funeral and service, along with making several visitations to the family. Friend is a Mormon missionary; came home for a few days in order to see his father put to rest. Very good service. Took some of his family and our friends out to dinner last night, my treat. Today he flies back to continue his mission for a several more months. We await his final return...
Currently I am awaiting the start of the next semester of school. 16 units of classes will most definitely keep me busy beyond most means. Can't wait. Meanwhile, looking for a new job, and enough money to find a car to replace the non-existent one that I have right now...

Ahh Vegas. Each time I visit, it seems to get more and more difficult to leave for home. Last time, I thought very heavily of moving out there. This time around, I have certain obligations on the home front that prohibit me from moving, but the thought is still in the back of my mind. Maybe some day in the future, it will be so.
Overall a good weekend. Much hanging out and chilling with people in Las Vegas. A nice Independence Day of BBQ, pool, drinks, and watching the fireworks over the strip. Friends have a house with an unobstructed view of the Strip. Though it is a few miles away, all of the hotels can be seen.
Slightly disappointed that I was not able to travel back East this summer. Last year I flew back there for several weeks, but due to scheduling conflicts, the same could not be so this time around. Maybe its a good thing, since it seems that every year I end up doing something completely different for the Fourth of July.
Still looking around for a place of employment. Difficult since most of the places that I would like to work are looking for certifications and experience that I currently do not have. But I am still confident that I will find something, hopefully sometime soon.
Yesterday, after returning from Vegas, friend and I were finally able to pick up the dog that I saved for him. A 2 year pitbull, I found the dog while working at a local shelter a month or so back. Dog was really out of it yesterday; he had just had his major castration surgery. Losing his balls, with the drugs, extreme heat, and the stress of moving did its toll on him. Kind of just laid around after we took him to his new home for the next few months. But he should do fine. Heard this morning that he ate and drank a lot when he woke up, so it sounds like he is recovering from his ordeal. Now we just have to work on fattening him up a bit; spending over a month in an animal shelter is not good for an animal's health, especially when they are usually only there for a few days before being either adopted, or euthanized.
Now to finish up some work for school before getting ready for tomorrow's adventures!
