So, I started painting again recently. It feels good to get away from the computer and get my hands dirty.

Here are some photos from a shoot I had with Sash and Rambo. Those two are awesome.

And for a change of pace, here is an owl I drew for Sash's art wall. She promptly named him Harvey.
When I asked her what she wanted me to draw she said, "I want a sophisticated owl that I can ask all of life's questions to." Meet Harvey...

...yes, that's an ascot he's wearing. What a stylish accessory, yes?
Here are some wonderful examples I found while looking for reference images:

So I'm finally getting around to updating my blog with a couple highlights of the last month. First is a video I just completed for a literacy campaign...
http://www.vimeo.com/7731849
I shot the live action stuff on my 5D Mark 2 and then did all the motion graphics in After Effects.
Next is the Dirty Show. I went with Sash and Moxi. Very Interesting.

That's all for now. gotta get back to work...

Oh man, I always get so busy and I forget to update my blog then it's months later who knows where the time went. There is a ton that's been going on but all I can think of is this steamy video of Sash and Radeo that I just finished working on.

Don't forget to comment here if you haven't already. Also if you want to see a higher resolution version I posted it to a secret link on my website:
LiquidScience.net
For those of you interested I'll geek out and give you some technical background on how it was made. I shot it with the 5D Mark II with only natural light and the modeling light from one of my strobes. That camera kicks so much ass i can't even take it. Everything it shoots looks so beautiful, especially the color and DOF. I edited it in Final Cut Pro and created the title cards in Cinema 4D. Once I locked picture I output it to After Effects for color grading and effects. Usually I would do the color grading in Color but I only had two days to work on it so I just did an overall global grading. The song is Radiohead "Nude"
Here are some photos of GoGo I took awhile back. I really love these. She looks like such a bad ass rockstar!

Here are some of Bob

And last but not least, the band Valentine needed a photo to make posters promoting their performance at Warped Tour...

Well that's it for now. Until next time!

Holy shite! it's been forever since I posted a blog. I've been sooo fucking busy. I have bunches of photos to show you.
The first ones are from a shoot I did for YRB Magazine for the "How You Rock It 2" fashion show/party. They invited all the B-list celebs they could get to come and had them pick out their own outfits and pose for the camera. It was so much fun There were tattoo booths, 4 or 5 different Rock Band 2 "stages", a DJ and me shooting the fashion photos for the magazine. You can see the whole lot of them here.

My next set of photos is from my shoot with Jacquelyne Marie. She had this idea of a shoot that was very fantasy driven, lots of glitter and so on. So she brought this big jar of glitter with the intention of sprinkling it over everything, but after a couple tests it didn't translate too well, so instead I thought I'd get creative and put my photoshop skills to work and create a fantastical princess world
the unicorn was inspired by Sash since she's my princess and she's always asking me for a pink pony or a unicorn

I have so much more to post but this is getting long so I'll wrap it up with a few shots of Sash and myself and continue in part 2 another day...
These were taken in our friend Jim's garage which we've dubbed "The Lab", that's a story for another time.

Sash, did the post processing on these. I like her take on them
