I had to go for jury duty today. It's the first time I've ever done that. It took the whole day, but it was actually kinda interesting. Nonetheless, I'm glad to have that off my back. I feel all light now.

It is brutally hot here today. I only walked a block and a half during lunch, and I was already sweating like crazy.

Did anyone see the ESPY Awards show last night? I thoroughly enjoyed that.

I adored Foucault's Pendulum too! If you haven't read it already read his book Baudolino, it's really brilliant! Hope you like Frankenstein, I wasn't instantly keen on the gothic style but the story is wonderful and I didn't mind that once I read a few chapters.

I got out of jury duty by saying that if I miss work, I don't get paid. It's true, I just didnt' think it was enough reason to miss jury duty!

I missed the ESPYs Didn't even know they were on.

Have been called up 7 or 8 times. I always get picked when I get caIled up for jury duty. It sucks! I've tried dressing like a delinquent, dressing businesslike, like a lady who lunches....no matter what I get picked! The only time I've been dismissed is when there's a large cattle call of people and they let groups go. Once a smaller groups gets sequestered into a chanber that's it, I know I'm stuck. Have even tried acting wierd, etc. to no avail....

Did you get picked or just summoned with the group?

Afraid you have rose colored glasses or myopic tendencies. My toes are too skinny to make for pretty feet. They are rather more prehensile than cute and chubby. Excellent for hanging from tress with though.
