I got the BEST compliment from an old friend from my Philadelphia club days. She now lives in Lebanon and frequently travels here to NYC and we plan to reconnect soon.
We were in chat and were reminiscing about the old days of drinking, dancing on fancy bars and causing trouble that spilled into my professional life. Looking back, she said “Are you still Satan?” I was a little shocked and tickled and when I asked “Satan?!” she informed me that “Yeah, the Devil. You were at every party, like a puppetmaster. You were behind the scenes CONDUCTING the debauchery!” She went on to say “You never judged, even if you did not indulge, you arranged for others who did. Very nice of you. I miss you
”
My frozen heart almost melted. I enjoy being a puppetmaster.

I find myself going back to the old days. GOOD, but CHEESY Superman movies with my favourite one being Superman II. In the last year, I keep saying “KNEEEEEL before ZOD!” at random times. If I want something done like a street light to change…“KNEEEEEL before ZOD!” If I would like a table at a restaurant…“KNEEEEEL before ZOD!” If I see something exciting…“Oh my ZOD!”
There is just something both campy, passive and powerful about this horrid performance by Terrance Stamp, yet it has infiltrated my nomenclature.
And back to New York City and Brooklyn I go! Three days in my Mecca will do me good…doing a lease signing on a SCHWEET,bi-level loft! Cross your fingers for me!
