in relation to my previous post...
I'm getting married on Saturday.
Its funny, I wasn't really nervous at all, the thing i was most concerned about with the whole thing was that I wasn't nervous at all - its weird but I was scared that I wasn't scared, that the day would come and i'd have a major freakout.
However here we are, the monday before the big day (Saturday) and i'm starting to feel it, in a lot of ways feeling nervous is a relief.
Its a big blow to my manliness but I'm a bit of a cryer - I rarely get through an episode of Doctor Who without needing a tissue, my big fear is that I'm going to see my bride walk down the aisle and I'm going to turn into a blubbering mess in front of literally everybody that is important to me in my life. (*low volume scream*)
Got the rehearsal tonight, and hopefully that will prepare me a little for what to expect, If I can get through that without breaking down I think I'll be fine.
Also according to the weather forecast for saturday its going to be 34 degrees (thats 94 for American-type people) in an outdoor ceremony while im wearing full suit including vest - im gonna be a sweaty,crying mess.

Where does the time go!
I just paused my stream of 'Teen Wolf' to give you guys some quick bloggage - (yes, I'm watching Teen Wolf ... its one of the few shows to come out of this pilot season that hasnt given me *too* much of a reason to not watch the next episode, so its remaining in my download queue for now)
In some sad news, We got word yesterday that my local pub, which was burnt in a fire a year an a half ago, will not be re-opening as the owners of the building have opted to sell to developers. A real kick in the knickers as I spent a good ten years of my life with that pub a big part of it, I met both my Fiancee and some of my closest friends there, we are working on some sort of gathering to send her off in style, even if its a party in the carpark because theyve changed the locks
Other than that things are ... things. wedding planning is still chugging along slowly, I've been trying my darndest to get back into videogaming (ive been lazy of late) F.3.A.R has been terrifyingly awesome so far, I'm trying to get as much play of that in as i can .. in daylight only, thats a game far to freaky to play at night!.
While we are on the subject of nerd-ly pursuits ... does anybody have a google+ invite they'd like to sling my way? id be eternally grateful! send it over to effigy@me.com if you can
hmmmm other than that you're pretty much up to speed! twas my birthday last week, I managed to score an Aperture science T-shirt, a copy of Alice:madness returns and a JB HI FI gift card from my darling fiancee. I put the gift card towards a HD PVR that i can use to capture gaming footage, but im still waiting on that to arrive from the delivery peoples.
parmadaze is still going strong, we had an article about us in the paper a month or so ago ... that was pretty awesome

Stuck in my regular rut of work/parma/drink/work/parma/drink/repeat, with a couple of things thrown in for good measure.
The fiance bought her wedding dress on the weekend, this whole wedding this is finally starting to feel 'real' ... its odd.
Got the 3DS last week, but it has been crashing all bloody weekend and im waiting for nintendo to release a patch - dont you miss the days when consoles didn'r crash? that was one major draw of them over PC games - reliability, now that has gone out the window (seeing as I am on my 3rd xbox, my 2nd PS3 and my 1st wii (but its fucked beyond repair)) my point is proven.
pretty busy week planned, the fiance's graduation ceremony is tomorrow so ive got the day off work for that, then thursday night im going out for a parma followed by going to see The Dan Band (the guys in the wedding band in Old school/the hangover ... should be a pisser) then friday is drinks in the burnt out shell of my old watering hole - always a fun night.

The scene/act in Jurassic Park 2 (The Lost World) in which the T-Rex runs rampant in San Diego - Awesome or Shitty?
Personally, I love this part of the movie, yet whenever I'm watching it or talking about it with others it constantly comes up that this part of the movie sucks... I don't get it!

Back at work, three days here then headed up to the Gold Coast from Thursday - Monday for an extended weekend holiday, should be fun

Hello my pretties!
Monday is the start of a busy as fuck week for me! got the biggest party of the year this Saturday and planning has (as usual) been left to the last minute.
My weekly schedule is as follows -
Monday - Work during day, finish at 5 and rush to the engraver to get a plaque engraved, then from there to costco to pick up bulk lots of cups, doritos, chips, toilet paper and salsa. then home to put another coat of varnish on the trophy I made for the event (its kind of a yearly drinking-sports-day, with a trophy awarded to the winning team) maybe squeeze in some new donkey kong before passing out (awesome game)
Tuesday - Work, then a meeting in the city at 6.30 that will probably keep me busy for a few hours, home, another coat of varnish on the trophy, then sleep
Wednesday - Work, then supposed to go to the night market but I think I'm gonna skip it to make sure everything is in place for the weekend, I may have to drive a whiteboard, folding tables and a foosball table over to where the event is being held, then possibly a trip to k-mart to buy whatever else we need (batteries, table tennis equipment, gazeebo's etc.), also take the empty beer kegs to the brewery and give them to the guys to fill with beer
Thursday - Work, then out for a chicken Parma for this weeks Parma Daze review
Friday - Work, then pick up as many kegs as possible from the brewery and go hook them up to the beer fridge, then out for a christmas party.
Saturday - Morning - fight against a hangover, go to party and make sure everything is in place, (put up whiteboard, set up gazeebo, tables etc) - Noon - Start drinking, then continue drinking until I don't feel feelings anymore
Sunday - Cease to exist
Monday - Work
*deep breath*
So thats my week! I'm sure there is stuff I've forgotten that I will remember on Saturday morning, but so far thats the plan.
but the boobs calm me ....
If theres a better use for the hula hoop I haven't seen it!
In past-news, I met my mates new unofficial girlfriend on the weekend, we played 'cranium' and drank cider - good night, great game and I think she passes the porch test.
Also, the new Donkey Kong game is great - hard as balls but pretty awesome
