I couldn't sleep until about 1AM last night, then was wide awake at 6:30 and worked out a bit to Le Tigre/Cheap Trick/Esthero. I wonder if I could survive forever that way. I'm starting to wish there were more hours in the day.

Now I'm getting some work done, then going for a shower. There's already water dropping on me though. I guess one of the joys of living in a loft is having a pipe on the ceiling condense water and rain it down on you every time it is humid. Luckily that's only a couple times a year here. Lucky in that regard only, anyways, as I actually love humidity generally.

I have been having a lot of fun with my polaroid camera! I haven't scanned anything, but I'll post some stuff eventually.

today...

- I won't do any work. I've had a lot of days like that lately. Life is good.
- I will call my mom.
- I bought a new computer and external hard drive.
- I got caught in a hail storm and was soaked and liked it.
- I ran into Drake and had a lovely chat about robot vaginas.
- I dropped off 1, 2, 3, 4 prints that I framed to donate for a charity event.
- I will probably be going out with Seska for dinner.
- It is the 6 year anniversary of losing my virginity.

The wedding photos I mentioned aren't of me, they are samples of weddings I have taken. I've been married for over 3 years! And I actually don't have many wedding photos. I had a small wedding with just two witnesses and spent my money (from an art scholarship that for some reason they refunded to me after I dropped out of art school) on a honeymoon in Mexico. It was perfect, and took about two weeks of planning and pretty much no stress.

In other news, I've been pretty busy with friends and just being outside lately, which is rare for me, and it's left me behind on work and answering emails and things. It kind of makes me wish I could take the summer off, but then I think about it, and I already have a pretty spoiled existence.

Things have been going really well. Maybe it's the weather? I don't know, but I've been really happy for the last couple months and I can't seem to blame it on any one thing. Ever since I got back from Vancouver, which was supposed to be to arrange some things to move there, there have been so many things telling me to stay here in Calgary. I'm actually pretty confused about it, since I wanted to move so badly, but now I'm content here. I think I will just go with the flow. It sounds passive and not very "master of your own destiny" but it always works out better when I let the universe decide. Unless it's 3:26 AM.

I'm totally high on life right now (and it makes me really cool). Things have been pretty awesome lately. Not like winning a million dollars awesome, but pretty good as far as my life is concerned.

...though I really want to murder all the construction workers in the two block radius around my building. I've been listening to jackhammering every day all day for a while now, and it's starting to be open windows weather so it's about 50 times worse. 7AM to 10PM. 7 days a week. Sometimes from two construction sites at once.

Fucking "progress". Argh.

So I still haven't looked at my Vancouver photos. I'm trying to catch up on things. And I shot a wedding yesterday! It was so awesome. I think it was some of my best wedding photos yet. Everyone looked so good though, I barely had to try at all. I'm not sure if I can post photos because I don't know if the people are cool with SG, but I guess I can post if the person is a member! What else? Well, I'm trying to catch up on things. Lets see how that goes.

So, for awhile I've been wanting to put together all my cleaning product recipes, once I perfected them and had a pretty full collection. But, I have found something better! It's basically exactly what I would have done if I had the time to put into it.

They are all super easy, and cheap! Depending on how crazy you get with the essential oils I guess. Most of them work awesomely, and you don't have to worry about slowly poisoning yourself/kids/pets/the environment, and you can make them smell however you want, which I love. My favourite scent combo is grapefruit oil and peppermint. It smells amazing! It kind of makes me want to clean more. So yeah. Try some of those.

If you don't have bottles to put them in, you can usually find empty bottles (including spray bottles) at dollar stores. I use mostly old Dr. Bronner soap bottles. Also, definitely get your baking soda from the bulk aisle if you can.

Most of the ingredients are available at any grocery store, but you may have to venture to an organic grocery store/natural food store or vitamin store for the essential oils. Or order them online!
