Just ordered a new book...

I'm excited.
My dear Miss Mizoo is here next week! We're gonna go here to see lots of great music, wonderful art, and beautiful people.
When life gives you lemons, you grind them shits in the garbage disposal to keep your kitchen sink from smelling like rotten trash. Then you drink some tea and play some more Scrabble with your lady. At least that's what I do.

PS: Who here doesn't like ice cream?
OK, besides maybe this guy...

The longer I go between blogs, the more I feel obligated to make it something thoughtful.
Instead, I'm just going to say that I am:
VERY busy
VERY happy
VERY much in LOVE
Hope all is well with you guys.
PS: Road trip?

PS: Road trip?
I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.
I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,
and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,
hunting for you, for your hot heart,
like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.

I've been reading so many downer blogs lately, so I felt compelled to drop a line to say that life is beautiful and I'm super grateful to still be here living it. Work has been so incredibly busy lately, which is a good thing since it means I get to make lots of cool stuff, and that makes me happy. I'm still madly in love as ever, and in a few short weeks Mizoo and I will be embarking on a super sweet west coast road trip. Among the many sights we plan to see:

We'll start our journey in Seattle with a live taping of one of our favorite NPR programs, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me! I've been a fan of this show for a long time, and have kind of always been secretly jealous of the people that got to be in the audience, so I'm stoked to make someone else out there secretly jealous!

One of the most majestic stretches of nature I've ever encountered. I've longed to return to this spot for nearly a decade. Miz has never seen the Pacific Ocean, and I can't imagine a better introduction than Big Sur.

Dinosaur Delights. Made famous by Tim Burton and Pee-Wee Herman thanks to an unforgettable scene from an unforgettable film, I honestly didn't realize this was a real place until someone mentioned visiting last year. This was one of the very first destinations suggested when we first started planning the road trip. Couldn't ask for a better ending!
Y'all take care of yourselves, and try to remember that when the shit hits the fan, just keep the fan spinning and you'll be fine.
