I truly cannot wait until the election is over.
I appreciate that we live in a free society that can express ourselves, and to be truthful I blame social media.
I have always had differing views than some friends and family and it was never a problem, since we all know most of the time one doesn't talk about religion or politics in a social setting (if one was brought up with etiquette). But with social media it feels like it is rammed down your throat.
And it is fair enough that people want to post about their thoughts about the debate or the upcoming election, but somehow it seems to create this seething anger -- like how can you be so stupid to think that.

And that is not a good way to think of your friends.

So yes I cannot wait until this election is over. I think due to the current state of this country people are more polarized then ever.

They created that app that switched out children's pictures for bacon, can't we do the same for political posts?

Amen, sister!

It's bleeding into my FB which I originally setup for my clients/models, SG friends, and HS and college classmates. Then my family found me and I HAD to add them. But everyone tries to shove their principles on the other person and no one dares post anything that the others are offended or opposed to, or that person gets slammed! I don't share my views although my FB friends are 85% Republicans, and while I have swayed on different sides throughout my life, I'm leaning more on keeping the White House the way it is for this election. But that's my vote and people shouldn't have to tell me I'm "Fucking crazy!". I even live in a Republican neighborhood and it gets so nauseating when we attend parties during an election year. puke

I too will be happy when this shit stops!

This is why I vowed not to talk politics on social media until some point after the election. Some of the stuff that's floated through my stream has made it difficult to stick to that, but so far I've managed.
