Im a Brazilain Jiu Jitsu Freak! I got my purple belt a few weeks ago, and started teaching. I have always wanted some sort of BJJ related tattoo. I found this picture of Helio Gracie ( who along with his older brother Carlos created BJJ) meditating before he fought a famous Japanese Judoka, Kato.

Shit hurt.

So I have this friend named Pat. Pat is probably about ten years older than me. We have a common history. We both worked in bars, bounced, bar tended. Worked together a couple of times. Both come from some what broken homes, like to drink beer, both have brothers.

I kind of look up to Pat. He's a single dad that takes care of two kids. Finally graduated college by going to night school, and a class here and there. I think of him as one of the toughtest sons of bitches I know, because he's boxed for years and has this reach that is totally disproportional to his body, and I've seen him fuck some people up.

So last week Pat calls his brother on his cell.

No answer.

Pat calls again several times and still gets no answer. He starts to get a little concerned and goes by his brothers house. He looks through the window and can see his brothers feet on the couch and the tv on with the opening menu of a DVD on.

He kocks. Nothing. Kicks in the door and finds his brother dead of and diabetic shut down.

If there is some one out there you love. Let them know it.

I got my Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Today.

Im so fuckin stoked and Happy!

I wish i had some cool shit to tell you guys but I really don't. Im still bartending babysitting drunks. The money is still pretty good so whats a nigga to do?

That and I let some girl rip my heart out and make me feel like a psycho. Besides that just working on my life and enjoying the NOW in what ever form it happens in!

Im stuck in a bar by myself. But alast I found my bosses laptop and a WiFi connection.

Fall has hit Santa Fe in the last couple of weeks. I'm kind of looking forward to the change in the weather. Which is kind of strange because it usually depresses me when ever summer is in my rear view window. I bought two jackets in the last month. Im stoked that ive been putting them to use lately.

I fought in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championships about a month ago. I thought I would do a lot better than I did. I made it to the third round and lost by one advantage. The guy I lost to felt like he weighed a million pounds. It was cool to be there and see the best BJJ fighters in the world all throw down at once. One of my teachers Romulo Barral won his division in the medium heavy black belts. He also made it to the finals of the absolute (which is when everyone in all the weight classes fights every body...if they want to). He really impressed me. I always knew that he had some sick fuckin Jiu-Jitsu but its a trip to see him dominate most of the best fighters in the world. We were spoiled to have him at out school for so long.

I still havn't figured out what the future holds for Miah. I given myself as of the end of the year to come up with a plan. I can't babysit drunks that much longer and hold my sanity.

I've been gone so long I don't even know how to work this fuckin website any more. Every time I get back on they changed something....bitches.

Still here, still alive, need to get caught up on all the new sets.
