last night i saw this band play, vintage trouble. i'd never heard of them before, and within minutes was blown away. then they did one of their songs and dedicated it to etta james. and it was beautiful. you know when you hear something and it feels like every part of you is soaking it all in, so moved by the sweet words. i dont know what it was, but i fell in love.

it's not quite the same as it was live, but i had to share.

Man....having your mom stay with you for 2 weeks is really effing exhausting! Don't get me wrong, I love her, but jeeze.....this being my only vacation in awhile and it's more tiring than working 6 days a week!

As always, life is super crazy busy and working wayyy too much! But I'm finally on vacation! More like a staycation since my mom and brother flew down from Toronto to visit. But it is soooooooo nice to have more than one day off!!! Sunday's have been my only day off for like a year now, and most of the time it's ok but lately it's been wearing me out a bit.

I'll write a better more interesting blog later, but mostly just wanted let you know I'm still alive. Mostly.

Halloween was so much fun! My friends had a party and went all out on decorations. They even made a "Prom Picture" backdrop haha

I think it was one of the most fun Halloweens yet. Last year's sucked royally because of all kinds of unnecessary drama, so this was a much welcome change.







It's cold and rainy here today. I slept until 2pm with all 4 cats snuggled up in bed. It was amazing. I probably would have stayed in bed all day if I didn't have to do laundry and get ready to go to work from 5-10. Meh.

Life has been surprisingly wonderful lately.

I'm moving into a house!! Goodbye, apartment living, hello backyard and lots of space!

Speaking of moving, my future roommate is now here on this site, so help me give her a warm welcome.

I'm having one of those needy and insecure nights. Boy do they stink.

3 weddings, a hosting a bridal shower, and bachelorette party down. 2 weddings, a funeral, and one baby shower to go. Two weeks til freedom!! Wow, august was busy.

I'm still alive! Been so crazy lately...I work like 7 days a week it seems lately, and every weekend in august is either a wedding, bridal shower, or bachelorette party. Up til mid September really. This shit gets expensive!! Haha hence me covering every shift possible. Sigh. I'm pooped.
