Really looking forward to a busy couple of months! During the first 3 weeks of school I have 10 burlesque shows! It's gonna be CRAZY! I hope some of you can make it out to see at least one show! I'll post the list of dates below!
Apparently I need to wear white scrubs to class every day and i'm really not looking forward to it. My day to day clothes are usually all black with a splash of some really bright colour. I'm not exactly the all white scrubs type. they look like PJs to me... maybe I can find some vintage nurse uniforms or something instead. And a lab coat? ...geez I don't even know where to start looking for this stuff!
My pet lizard (Violence the Terrible Thunder Beast) has been getting a little tipsy looking lately. I'm not sure what's wrong with him and it's starting to worry me. He's a Uromastyx that I've had for about 3 years. He still eats and runs around as usual, but he seems clumsy recently. I've never had a lot of luck on google when trying to get more information on him. I guess it's time to find a vet who knows their reptiles!

I've built a beautiful pair of burlesquefeather fans with an awesome twist that I can't wait to debut at the end of the month at the Girlesque shows! And because I'm so impatient i'm gonna show them off here first! I can't wait to use them! The act still needs some work before it's a finished product but I'm pretty happy with everything so far!
Speaking of needing some work... I should get back to it! Time to put my music on repeat, get the needle and thread out and finish the costume and choreoghrpahy!

BIRTHDAY
My birthday was this past weekend and it was insane and full of double shifts followed by quick stops at the bar before last call each night to try to add up to a full evening of partying with friends! I don't think I fit enough birthday in to the weekend so I'm gonna do a little extra birthday celebrating around Christmas!
BONDAGE
I've been doing about one burlesque show a week for the past couple of months and have one last one this Friday before I get a bit of a break! I've finally fallen a little behind in show prep and I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for Friday's show! It's called Bound and it's a bondage themed costume party. I think I assumed it would be easy to come up with ideas for this one but I'm having a case of burlesque block! ... Burlesque + Bondage = ? This really should be a lot easier than this!
BOOBS
I have 10 pairs of Christmas pasties to finish by tomorrow but I work until 11pm so I guess it'll be another late night of glitter, rhinestones, and tassels for me! Need a few more ideas for shapes.... snowflakes, holly, mistletoe... hmmmm... I'll have to remember to post a picture of my itty bitty titty crafts before they're sent off to happy homes!
BEAUTY SCHOOL
Once this week is over I have a month to prep for Capital Tease's next big show AND to start adjusting my sleep schedule so I can get up earlier for SCHOOL!! Yes, that's right, I'm going to school! I'm taking a professional esthetics course starting in January and I'll be finishing it off with the medical esthetics program! That means I'll be able to combine lasers and vaginas in my job description! My guy friends are gonna be so jealous! lol
So if any of you in the Ottawa area want sweet deals on spa treatments (manis, pedis, facials, waxing, makeup, LASER, electrolysis or any other fun stuff) then hit me up in the new year!!
Time to finish up at work.... and go to work! :/ ... I have too many jobs!

It's the Monday after my birthday weekend and I'm bored and lazy! somebody give me a reason to stop hitting the stumble button and get something done!
Sick and home from work. bored. bloop bleep bloop.
Wishing I had the energy to get things done around the house at least.
BUT stumbleupon.com is keeping me from thinking about being productive for the time being. It's also providing me with a plethora of useless information and pretty things! The internet is just so fun of stuff! Like how to make two cupcakes instead of a whole batch! I think I know what i'm having for desert tonight!
One Bowl Vanilla Cupcakes for Two
serves 2
-1 egg white
-2 tablespoons sugar
-2 tablespoons butter, melted
-1 teaspoon vanilla (yes, a full teaspoon – they are super vanilla-y!)
-1/4 cup flour
-1/4 heaping teaspoon of baking powder
-pinch of salt
-1 1/2 tablespoons milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a muffin pan with 2 liners.
In a bowl, add egg white and sugar and whisk until combined. Add in vanilla and melted butter and stir until mixed. Add flour, baking powder and salt and stir until smooth. Stir in milk. Divide batter equally between the 2 cupcake liners.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes, or until cake is set. Let cool completely, then frost as desired.
Mmmmmm.....
Once again thanks to the internet I'm thinking about all the things I would rather be doing than sitting at home with a fever and a tummy ache like:
-Diving with sharks
-Practice my french
-Learn Spanish
-Visit the Galapagos Islands
.... oh the list goes on and on!
Well I better get some sleep so i'm better for all the madness i have planned for this weekend!

What a mess! Spent last night performing at Cirque Noir! The theme was Devil's Rejects which is awesome! But we spent the first half of the night getting ready for all the acts throughout the night and I missed getting to chill with all the awesome people who came by at the beginning of the night (including Canadian_Coat and Lee)! 
The turn out wasn't great (way smaller than any of the other cirque noir events) and I have to admit that the second I heard skrillex playing I knew they weren't really sticking with the theme this time (I don't like skrillex). By the time I did my eyepatch wearing nurse act and covered myself in red liquid latex there was only a small crowd left to see it and we got latex in my hair. NOT FUN TO GET OUT! (if you have any tips please do leave me a comment!) So far it's been a lot of baby oil, combing, shampoo, repeat. lol
On the plus side I think we got a few awesome photos of the acts and all the blood red latex!
The date for the next Cirque Noir has already been chosen and I'm hoping the next one is a step back towards what some of the more successfully themed shows have been like.
Tonight is the Halloween Hip Hop Hoedown hosted by Romi from the Real L Word. I'll be gogo dancing there and I hope it's a good time as it's not exactly in an easy to leave early from location if you don't have a car! Guess I have to pull together a cowgirl costume? Not really my thing but I'll have fun shaking my ass in whatever!
TOMORROW NIGHT! Tomorrow is yet another Halloween Hoedown, but this one is at the Rainbow in the market (downtown Ottawa) There will be a bunch of bands, art and burlesque by myself, and Audrey Hipturn of Capital Tease as well as a possible debut performance by Kitty Kin-Evil who has been our loyal stage kitten! On top of the acts that we'll be performing a handful of mine and Bambi Van Boom's burlesque students will be performing group and solo numbers! a first for a few of them!
In all this madness I haven't even had a chance to figure out what I'm going to dress as on actual Halloween when I get to spend it with my Sweetheart! We were talking about Sweeny Todd and Mrs Lovett type characters! Which I think would look pretty awesome if we can pull it together in time!
Well I hope every's Halloween weekend has gotten off to a great start! I look forward to checking out everybody's blogs for photos over the next week! To those of you who are just getting started have a safe and happy Halloween!

It's Halloween season!! Which means I have lots and lots of shows coming up, very little time to do anything, and woke up feeling rather crappy this morning.... damn. Trying to nip that last one in the butt so I can get to work on finishing up costume pieces and practicing! Gotta eat more protein or something.... 
It seems I'll be missing an Ottawa meet for a show this weekend so I hope to see some of the Ottawa gang out at the Tattoo Expo where I'll be performing!

So winter is coming and I've decided that I'm going to try and save as much money as possible by springtime. Part of this plan is to opt to stay home instead of going out and spending money more often than not. I'm going to watch lots of movies, start drawing and painting again, cook homemade dinner at least 5 days a week, and get people back over here for game/movie nights like I we did last winter!
On that note, does anybody have any good movie suggestions? old or new...any genre...as long as they're good ones!

BURLESQUE SHOW SATURDAY NIGHT! Wee!
Capital Tease is going for Round 2 with The Matadors at Fishnet Freakshow 2 at Mavericks this Saturday night! We're bringing the strange a little earlier than last year and keeping the eerie going right through to Halloween! After Saturday's freakshow we prep for a creepy carnival themed event, a Devil's Rejects themed fetish show and finally a punk rockin' burlesque party on Halloween night! I'm still choosing music for some of my acts! Any suggestions?
In less awesome news, I let my damn license expire last week and spent all freakin day waiting in lines and taking numbers to get it back! Such a pain in the ass! The place couldn't be further from my house either!
Back to awesome: Capital Pride was this past weekend in Ottawa and I had an amazing time hanging out with the handsome men of Boylesque TO! Can't wait to see them again when I hit Toronto for Nuit Blanche's 12 hour Burlesque show at the Gladstone Hotel! Oh yeah! that's another show for the list! And stopping in Kingston to teach some burly clinics and then shake my tail feather once again the following evening before heading back to Ottawa!
