Weird, isn't it...?
Well I moved to LA early February so the plan is to join SGLA and possibly attend a few meets, find good people there - Need local friends to have fun, grab a few beers with and talk shit!
No idea who's still around but I made great friends with SGUK and SGChicago back then, so why not give it another round?
For those who don't know me and might end up visiting this page... can you believe I originally joined SG on the 1st of February 2003?

Last entry was 2 months ago... that shows how interested in this site I've become.
For the few people who still read this, once again, I'm on FB most of the time as it is much more convenient and I've seen so many tattooed chicks that all look the same on SG that I stopped paying attention a while ago. I think I've posted the FB link already but you can always PM me here and I'll let you know.
Currently finishing:

Krishnamurti was indeed pretty ahead of his time. In China he would probably have been executed real quick. Would have loved to read this when I was younger, thus I would have felt less alone thinking along the same lines.
Previous book I showed here was good by the way - I would recommend it

Positive Psychology & the Buddhist Path of Compassion - Lorne Ladner, Ph.D.
Just about started this one but seems quite promising.
I like the new approach the author offers - quite a fresh mix of Buddhism and Psychology, with an emphasis on the latter, making it probably more accessible to the general public.
In other news, well, not much.
Hope you're all doing well
Looks like this account is still working, so here's an update of sorts because there's not much to relate or not much I want to relate at all...
Enjoying the weather finally becoming Springy and longing for a holiday.
Worrying because our Kitty had a cancerous tumor removed recently and this may not be the end of it yet, as more tests are on the way. Poor thing has been exemplary through it so far. She seems to be in good health but we all know that cancer is a vicious motherfucker that knows how to lurk, growing stronger before attacking again. For now, we can but wait...
Not feeling very social, missing friends.
Hope all is well in your world

It's been a tough week - between work obligations and other problems that I don't feel like developing on here.
Hope you're all doing well.
Be good, kids

"Bring your kids to work day" is probably a good idea.
Might as well teach the little fuckers right away that once they've suffered school obligations, then they get work life obligations.
Totally obliterate the concept that life may somewhat be fun in the long run early and they won't be much disappointed. Now, that's pro-activity.

Another random thing:
Heard on the bus on the way back from work - young chick speaking extremely loudly on her phone:
Waste of human space: "OH HEY GUESS WHAT?"
Most likely other waste of human space on board another bus: "BLAH BLAH?"
Waste of human space: "SO, I'VE RECEIVED AN EMAIL"
(she could have won $100M at the lottery, the way she said that)
Most likely other waste of human space on board another bus: "BLAH BLAH AWESOME BLAH!!"
Waste of human space: "IT'S ABOUT THIS BACHELORETTE PARTY"
Most likely other waste of human space on board another bus: "BLAH BLAH LOL LOL BLAH!!"
Me: [thinking] someone please make this end
Waste of human space: "I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT"
(again, said as if she had just discovered the Holy Grail or Cleopatra's body)
Most likely other waste of human space on board another bus: "BLAH BLAH LOL LOL BLAH!!"
Waste of human space: "OK, IT'S ONLY IN THREE MONTHS, BUT...'
Me: [thinking] DIE!! DIE!! JUST DIE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then she got off the bus, off to annoy the shit out of other unsuspecting poor souls.
