I'm having a bit of a weird episode at the moment. I'm all nervous and excited but not for any reason. I want to come out to the world (meaning coming out to those not as close to already know) and confessing the lust I have for many of my friends. I pretty much wanna fuck everybody especially my friends, and this makes me scared and sad and I don't know why.

I'm a maelstrom of emotions right now and I don't know why. My heart is pounding and I'm panicked, or is it excitement?

Phew, it's Friday! I made it. I trained the last three mornings in a row and I must say I'm quite happy with my progress so far. I have, in three weeks, gone from no fitness what so every to being able to run 3kms in 20 mins with still more energy to spare. My recovery is way better now too. Yay!

I found this just before too:

Yay for bewbs! biggrin

Update time! What a weekend!

Well Friday night lead us to a bar where, after weeks of not drinking, I indulged in some beers. I only had say 5 beers over the course of the 5 hr evening out and was in bed by 11pm having drunken a litre or so of water before retiring. I wake up at 3am with the WORST migrane I've had in years and can't sleep properly. Dosing in and out with soreheaditus. Finally got some relief at 9am when Sarah went to get Neurofen for me and after an hour or so the headache dissipated and left me with a feeling of lethargy and nausea. GREAT! Sat was spent at home, in bed, resting.

Sunday came and I felt far better, 100% in fact. We'd been invited on a bush walk by some friends. One of them had done the 'track' before and called it "a nice 4hr walk in the Waitakares". It ended up being an 8km, 6hr slog through rivers up to your chest and climbing cliffs... I shit you not, we climbed cliffs. Just as we were exiting the forest the park ranger caught up with us. He'd been sent in to see if we were ok and/or needed help. The police rescue team had been put on standby for us as well. Jesus... So now, on Tuesday, everything hurts. The cuts, the bruises, every muscle, every joint... absolutely everything hurts...

Here's a link to the track I mapped out on MapMyRun.

Wednesday update: I was able to train today although I'm still sore. Training was actually easy today, that walk must increased my strength somehow. Big party/show for Subtract this Friday with our friends Snakes of Iron and Leeches. YAY!

So many basses, which one to use?

Day 5: Had a good run. All blue zone (using Adidas MiCoach which assesses your ability and structures a workout plan based on zone training, blue being the easiest in your ability) for 15 mins, which I thought would be a cinch, but I actually still found it hard. 2 rest days now... Might go for a hike in the Waitakare Ranges this weekend for fun though.

Apart from that, work, work, work.

BYE!

Day 3 of training and I am sore but feeling great (oxymoron is it not?). My legs, quad in particular are stiff as fuck and I walk around like an old man about to topple over. That aside, I feel so much more vital and alive.

It's getting colder here slowly but surely and I'm sure that will eventually make training even harder but I do like this between season respite from sweltering heat in the studio.

OK, update time people.

Today, (this morning about an hour ago to be exact), is the first day of my 1/2 marathon training. Yes, I know I'm mad. Don't worry, everybody has already told me. I've just done my assessment run and along with morning walks with the pooch I think it should have me fighting fit in no time. So far I'm only going to be training 3 times a week for around 30 to 45 mins each and not all running either. What I'm doing is a basic cardio fitness plan along with strengthening the ankle, knee and hip joints (along with the core work I've been doing for months) as to minimise the potential for injury when I do start running longer and harder.

This was all brought on by supporting a friend through her first Ultra Marathon (85 kms/53 miles X-country) and the training. I was totally inspired. She had no end of people telling he she was crazy, nuts, mental, stupid, reckless, etc. but she was determined and smart about it. Followed a long and intensive training plan and was totally dedicated to doing her best... How'd she do? Well, lets just say she won the event (first woman across the line in the 85km run)... She didn't even know until she was told 2 minutes after finishing. So go Emily! 85kms/53 miles in 10hrs 58mins.

Uhhhh!

Other things in my life right now?

Work is busy, but still running dangerously close to the red in the bank account. Go figure.

Both working on both band's records. The Cobra Khan record should be ready in about 6 weeks. But the Subtract one will take longer.

The dog child is great, he's growing up fast though. Getting him fixed next week along with registering him and getting him groomed for the first time.

Anyways, better do some work now.

LOVE YOU ALL! XXX
