So they broke into my parents new place which is under construction to steal tools and now get this.... old wall insulation. In Florida.
What would people want with old wall insulation?
What would people want with old wall insulation?
Why Ikea? Whyyy? Planned to go in and out in 10 minutes and "just" pick up 1 thing.... and it ate away 2 hours again and at this rate I'll never get done with my place
Sloooow saturday... loads of planning, a bit of console.... but can't shake this sitting on the couch doing nothing feeling.
Dammit... just got back from the GP.... heavy throat infection and fever. I'm out till wednesday and got meds till next friday.
Interestingly enough half of my department called in sick, and all who came looked half dead already. I got sent to the doctor by my manager and my supervisor as they kinda feared i would hand them my lungs if i keep coughing like that. I even got in trouble that i stayed half an hour longer after that note to finish some things up. Sick sick world... literally.
That would have been one awesome housewarming if it had happened today.
Oh yeah btw i got 2 tickets for tomorrows horror picture show... so if anybody is willing to pick them up in Sandyford they're up for grabs. First come, first served

A little update. Pictures will follow.
I moved from Ranelagh down to Sandyford. So not that central anymore but still got the LUAS very close by for nights out. But the new was just wonderful. Ok i no longer live by myself which is kind of a double edged sword.
It's no longer as boring as living just by myself but then there are always people around even if you don't want them to. But i know my flatmate for about 4-5 months know and he's just as sick and retarded as i am so we had a lot of fun the last 4 weeks and no trouble at all in the new place. But the place itself is wonderful. Beacon South Quarter rocks. Ok it's a little bit more expensive but compared to rent in Eire in general it's not that much more but you get a very very posh place with Italian marble floor heated batchrooms, 24/7 Concierge Service and a lot more. I'll post some pictures until end of the week. It almost feels just about the same as an upgraded Vegas Suite (Luxor - South Tower upgraded Room to be more precise).
I just spend 10 days back in good ol Germany and it was great and a pain in the ass as well. I KNOW why i left that country. The reasons become more and more apparent and if it wasn't for my daughter or my friends i probably wouldn't look back. But it all started on the 2nd of august when i came back to my old home ( i still keep an apartment in Hamburg) and realized the following:
- My Rent just got raised 10%
- My Fridge was fried for whatever reason
- My Computer was fried for the very same reasons
- The mother of my daughter "lost" her note on when i will be over and already had plans with my daughter on 2 of the days i planned on seeing her. Stripping me of most of the time available to her and one of the reasons for being here
After those news i was about to jump into the next plane back and forget about everything. But as i planned to spend 6 days in Brokeloh near Hannover on a Fantasy LARP (More or less improvised theatre and Pictures will follow as i get them) i decided to stay in Hamburg even though i would only be able to only spend a single day with my Daughter (at least i will be over for my b-day this month, her first day of school next month and her birthday next month, so another 3 visits to Germany i'm not too keen on going to).
At least the LARP Convention turned out to be a lot of craic. So much happened that i wouldnt even know where to start but it was one of those weeks where you feel fully alive. I wish there where more Irish Larps so i wouldnt have to fly back to Germany every time. But as for the one i just went to: It is THE biggest in all of Europe (dunno bout the yankees but theirs usually suck anyway) with over 5.000 people this year it was just astonishing. Unbelievable sights and experiences. Wouldn't wanna miss it.
So yeah actually a lot has happened but i'm really bad at keeping a blog and the promised pictures will takes weeks instead of a few days
but thats me
