Dear Russel and Smith Honda,

You better pray to the good lord above that I never get access to automatic weapons and/or hand grenades.

Oh wait.

This is Texas.

Hope you've got good running shoes, you lying, incompetent, assholes.

Regards,

Katieesq

Dear James and Curtis at O'Reilly,

I hope the alternator you fixed today finally does the trick. I'm hopeful, as it made that whining sound in my car go away. Please don't be yet another swindler who makes me anxious and scared to drive. If this works out, I might call you for that tune up I think I need.

Best,

Katieesq

GIVE ME A COMPLIMENT.

I've been wrestling with the insurance company today. The airbag light turned on after they completed the repairs. According to Progressive, this "open circuit spiral cable," or whatever it was, only occurs when the airbag has been deployed. Which is pretty fascinating, considering that my airbag has never been deployed, isn't currently deployed, and is still showing the bloody code. Really, Progressive? Is it so hard to believe someone futzed with the steering column and gibbed up the clock spring?

Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you? I still don't have my car back. My car that was recovered on July 3rd. blackeyed

Honestly, it could be worse. My adjustor has been really receptive to my concerns, and until this airbag SNAFU, things have been going along slowly, but smoothly. My requests for an alignment and a rental car were met without any evasiveness or finagling. Everyone has been great about returning calls and answering questions. Hopefully this is all just a misunderstanding.

I've been doing some freelance-y esque work that has helped with the deluge of expenses and is also exceedingly convenient. My friends are all coming back into town this weekend, as are the new graduate kids on the block. It's hot, and it couldn't get much hotter, but I'm managing fine.

This life I've got, it's not so bad.

Alright, after much crying and yelling about it, I'm buying a new phone from a nice man on the craigslists. It sucks, but it's just money, and I'm not as hard up for it as I think. Thanks for all the sympathy, gentlemen.

Anyways, here's a quintessential video I took from Comic Con (tell me if you see anything funny about that lady cardboard cutout). I would also very much appreciate it if you would "like" it over at Owl and Bear, the website that sponsored my Comic Con excursion. We'll be posting an interview with up-and-coming author Charles Yu (very Douglas Adams esque), an exceptionally good photo blog, as well as some special Owl and Bear sketches from Comic Con artists, so check back!

Accidentally left my phone on the floor for two minutes at Comic Con, and now it's gone.

I'm SUCH a FUCKING PUTZ.

And I can't afford this bullshit.
