Been a while since I posted a blog, huh? I don't really have any readers anyway. xD But for the maybe one or two people who might be curious, I've been up to a lot recently. I finally moved out of my parents' house this Sunday. The apartment's definitely different. But I like it, overall. There's something oddly liberating about having at least a bit of independence from my parents.

When what is supposed to be a 2 hour shift turns into a 8 hour shift, something is horribly, horribly wrong.

I'm making some good money delivering pizza. To compare it with my old job: I make as much nightly in tips as I did in an entire shift at my old job... and then I'm still making $6.00 an hour. Meaning I'm making almost twice as much as I did at my old job.

Still, it's a stressful job. The unpredictable nature of my hours (see: 2 hour shift turning into 8 hours) really puts a strain on my social life. My friends are getting fed up with my being unavailable Fridays and Saturdays. Not to mention, a bunch of my older friends have, out of nowhere, all started calling me, trying to get in touch. Sure, I want to hang out with them. But there just aren't enough days in the week to work... somewhere between 18 and 40 hours, put up with the demands of my current friends, and try and get back in touch with 4 or 5 other friends.

Gah, this is making me miss my old job... even with the shitty money.

New job. I got sick of the herds of kids, and quit. Now, I work at Papa John's, delivering pizza. It's good tips, even if the hours are total crap.

Time comes, and time goes. Relationships come and go, and sometimes go long before they've even really come. Amy, the girl I mentioned in my last blog and I broke up. Lasted... maybe a week? Hah, she and I really didn't get along with each other. Every night we'd argue about something... I'm not gonna say it's all her fault. Trying to get sympathy from me is, after all, like trying to squeeze water from a rock. Regardless, it's over. Time goes on.

Ah, work. Lovely, shitty work. Another several swarms of middle school kids has driven me close to turning in that two weeks notice. The only thing that kept me from doing so? A raise... a very small raise, but a raise nonetheless. Hah, my hourly wage went from $8.00 an hour to $8.10 an hour... what a joke. Still, the Kirsten promised I'd go up to $8.75 or maybe even $9.00 an hour after I reach supervisor status... Personally, I'm not convinced she intends to go through with that. But it's the hope that she won't screw me like Paul did the rest of the staff that keeps me going.

Regardless, that's the update to my life.

Christmas has come, and passed. And it was a pretty good Christmas over all. I got an External Hard Drive for my computer, that holds 640 GB of memory (more than my computer's Hard Drive holds). The extra portable storage space is also going to be needed when I go back to school (my 2GB Flash Drive just doesn't cut it).

In addition to that, I was given enough money to buy an Xbox 360 (something I've wanted since it came out, despite all the hardware problems it had when it was brand new) and one game. Sadly, they didn't have Fable II. So I settled for Grand Theft Auto IV instead (When I get my next paycheck, I'm going to buy Fable II, and probably Halo 3).

So, that's my Christmas for you. Outside of my selfish receiving gifts-ness, life's been going alright.

Work's been a lot better since the General Manager, Paul was laid off. I'm finally getting a halfway decent amount of hours every week (still not 40 hours a week. But what can you do?). I met a girl named Amy not too long ago, at work. Gorgeous. Smoking body, and a smile that just makes me go gaga. Amazingly, she's not stuck up, either. Despite the fact that, with her body, she could date whoever she wanted, she's interested in me. Interested enough to give me her phone number. And now she and I are trying to arrange a date (sadly, neither of us have a whole lot of free time).

That's my life. Thanks for reading.

I can't really say "work sucks," since it's probably the easiest job you can get, as long as you put a little effort into it. But I am a little displeased about the way some things are going where I work. The main one being this: I'm supposed to be a full-time employee. Yet, for some reason, I can't get more than 25 hours a week on a regular basis. Management keeps cutting labor, since business is so slow. And I can barely afford the gas I need to get to work now.

Hrmph. Well, I guess I'll survive. With Winter coming, business is bound to pick up. When that happens, I should get a lot more hours (and hopefully some overtime). If not, well, then it's time to look for a new job. Great, though the battletech pods are, I'm not going to waste my life for them.

As for me, and not my job, not a lot's changed. I'm a little older. A little wiser. Little being the key word in these statements. I recently bought a new Ipod, to replace my old, out-of-commission first-generation Ipod (the one that holds 20 GB memory). My new Ipod is simple. Just a 2nd Generation Nano, with 4 GB storage. I don't need it to hold my videos, or act as a cell phone. I just need a portable (moreso than my bulky CD Player) music device.

Other than that... well, I'm your typical static, unchanging guy.

Yeesh, I haven't posted on this in forever. Well, let's look at the updates. Last time I posted was around Spring Break, so, in the past 7 months, I've finished my semester of college, and have been upgraded to full-time status at Mr. Biggs (I'm even being considered for a promotion, if that stupid bitch Laura quits). I'm taking this next semester off from college, mainly so I can focus on work... also, because I'm so burnt out of school that I'm in desperate need of a break that lasts longer than three months.

When I go back to school, I'm changing my major from Business Management to Electronics Engineering.

Other than that, the only thing I really have to update is that I have some new video games, and new Btech Miniatures... because, yeah, I'm just boring like that.

So, today, I'm working at 5:00 tonight, so, I'm hanging out before I have to head in. Ate breakfast, took my lovely shower, and am just waiting for a few hours. I close tonight, and I open tomorrow (which means I'll get about 6 hours of sleep tonight, if I'm lucky), and, thank god, have Sunday off.

Well, that's all for today.

I got a job today. biggrin

I'll be working at Mr. Bigg's Family Fun Center... formerly Fat City. If anyone wants to come visit me while I'm working, the address is 9670 W Coal Mine Ave, Littleton, CO, 80123. I'll typically be working on Fridays and Saturdays. You'll be able to find me either running the Battletech Firestorm Virtual Reality Pods, or the Go Kart Race Track (primarily the Battletech Pods).

For now, I'm only working part time, at $8.00 an hour. But with my experience running the Battletech Pods (and my glowing recommendation from the owner of the pods, Craig Evans) the administration is considering me for a management position, running the pods.

Wednesday Wednesday... I'm not even going to try and come up with some odd, gay rhyme thing. Anyway...

Today, so far, has been pretty typical. Well, there was a fire drill, which meant we all had to stand outside in the cold for a good twenty minutes (seriously, is it intentional that EVERY fire drill is scheduled on a cold day?)

Anyway, those of you that know me personally (which is to say, no one on Suicidegirls, sadly) know that every weekend I go to a game store down in Wheatridge called Valhalla's. Currently, there are Virtual Reality Battletech pods down there. Sadly, they're being moved to another game store WAY far South of Denver (It's where Fat City currently is, but Fat City has been bought out by Mr. Biggs). So I won't be able to play in the pods every weekend. But, regardless, this Saturday there's a "last stand" event going on with the Pods that I intend to visit. I know the owner of the pods, and he's letting me, and one friend play for free all night, because of some help I'm offering to give him moving the pods. Anyway, I need a friend to come along with me. Any takers?

Ah, class is over. And me, being my unmotivated self, was too lazy to go and look for a job. So, let's summarize my day, and see how boring I become...

I woke up this morning at about 8-ish... but then fell back to sleep, and got up at 8:30. Took a shower, brushed my teeth, got dressed, alla that fun stuff, and was able to get to class by 9:30. Enough time to buy a small breakfast, and eat it before my Microeconomics class at 10. Well, my Micro class was boring... but then, aren't all economics classes boring? Still, if I want to major in business, that's the path I have to take.

After Micro, I came home, and ate lunch. Then I went back to school for my Introduction to Philosophy class.

Well, my Intro to Philosophy was a lot more interesting than Micro. There was a fun debate about the difference between the "mind" and the "body," and whether or not Computers and Robots were capable of mimicking the Human mind well enough that we cannot tell the difference. My own stance on this is that, yes, in fact, computers will, one day, mimic the Human mind. If someone would like to debate my opinion on this, please do. I would love to discuss this subject further.

Anyway, I just got back from class to find, amazingly enough, that Shyla replied to the message I sent to her the other day. Well, I was more than pleased by this. To say I'm having a bit of an SG Crush would be a very accurate statement.

For anyone that actually takes the time to read this extremely boring blog, I thank you, and will be sure to post any further updates today.
