MEMBER SINCE: January 2008
occupation: Ecologist/Economist, GIS/Remote Sensing Analyst, IT Analyst, Student, Jack of several trades
heroes: Independent thinkers, especially those that are fearless
most humbling moment: Every time I lie beneath a starry sky 20 miles from nowhere and think about why
gets me hot: Confidence, teasing, sarcastic banter
fantasy: To find a woman who has the confidence to ask for what she wants
makes me happy: flashes of inspiration in the shower, getting lost in my thoughts, waking up and finding that I am washing my hands at the sink (it happens more often than you would guess), a cold beer on a warm day on a roof top bar overlooking a fantastic vista with great friends, deep frying a turkey, a great book, having a computer boot successfully after having fiddled with it, sunrises/sunsets, lightning, snow, aquatic insect larvae
i lost my virginity: And I was a complete and utter asshole. I trivialized and disrespected the woman who was willing to share herself with me. Fortunately I have grown since then.
stats: Mostly H2O with some carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous, calcium, potassium, more lithium than the average person, etc
body mods: PCBs, heavy metals, pesticides; Large doses of psychiatric meds; Cuts and burns from a darker period in my life

I've applied for membership before and I was hoping you could comment as to why I wasn't accepted the last time?
Don't worry, the device on my head in my photograph isn't some sort of government mind control device.
I don't really blog often (if this is a requirement) because I spend most of my time in the bipolar group.
If you could give me a heads up that would be helpful.
BTW, I was hoping to post that the jazz trio Medeski, Martin, and Wood are going to be performing at the Rio on 11/19/2008. If you're not familiar with them, I consider them to be single most important group in keeping jazz relevant today. Kind of Miles Davis and John Coltrane when they were heavy heroin users but with more discernible melody and rhythm. Basically the best live performance I've seen of any genre.
