I've been in Florida for a few months and it's making me realize how much I loved living in Boston. As soon as my lease is up I'm moving back. It's one of those "don't know what you got till it's gone" situations. Not missing the weather though : )

cant sleep, sooo tired

I feel I'm at that point in life where I'm supposed be starting a real career and be saving money for the future, but I still don't even know what it is I really want to do with my life. I have a bachelors degree that I don't think I'll ever need and I'm about to graduate from culinary school with no real job prospects. I do okay working where I do now, but I've been there for too long and its time to move on. I don't know whats stopping me really. I suppose i'm just overly anxious or afraid of failure to really put myself out there looking for a new job. I'd love to own an Italian specialty market one day, but how do I go from being a line cook to a market owner? I need a job that will not only let me develop my skills as a cook, but I need to know how to run a business too. There's plenty of butcher shops and meat markets around here that I could learn from if hired. Now I just have to bring myself to apply to these places. OK venting over! wish me luck!

Wisdom teeth pain is driving Me to the brink of insanity. I just want them to stop hurting. Gah!

I've been dying to learn to play double-bass. I've spent a lot of time lately listening to psychobilly and rockabilly music and i really want to learn how to play like that. Just the need to be creative again is driving me to pick up a new hobby. now all i have to do is find someone in boston who gives lessons.

soo glad to be back at work. (never thought i'd actually type that) i had the last two weeks off work and it nearly drove me mad. i got some serious video gaming done at least Not only am i making money again now, but the kitchen i work in just got all new equipment! we actually have stuff that works and we dont have to take turns sharing the burners anymore! i'm so happy about that. i swear the old set up we had must have been made right after cavemen discovered fire. umm thats all i can think of to write for now. g'night

Just got back from the Tiger Army and Unseen show. Fucking incredible. I so needed an energetic show like that to help blow off some stress. And in a few weeks I'm seeing the Casualties and Time Again! I can't wait for that one. Just had to share all this in my post-show euphoric/drunk state. G'night.

We finally have some great weather in Boston!!! I spent most of it at work standing in front of a hot grill cooking for people, but all i wanna do now is barbeque something. Well, i'm off to the liquor store for some drinks and the grocery store for some ingredients to grill up. I'm freakin loving life at the moment Hope everyone else is having a good friday night too.
