The shame about my life is that my best stories come from jail, granted I spend 40 hours a week there and the hours when miscreants tend to be awake and needy no less. But let me allay any fears about the justice system you may have. Almost everyone is almost certainly guilty of what they are accused and here's why, they are REALLY not very smart at all. The smart criminals are the ones to worry about, cause they don't get caught, but there are precious few of those. The fun part about working in jail is that each and every one of these clowns seems to think they are super slick and can get over on us. But the harsh reality is that the better informed and better organized party will certainly prevail, not saying they don't get one over on us from time to time, but we get to leave at night so C.O.s win ultimately. I've met some really good folks so far in Corrections, but the potential for advancement seems slight at best, so I'm being encouraged to go the Police route...the thing is that there seems to be little impetus to be proactive in this currant field, it seems built on complacency and laziness, which despite the money I can make doing very little and pulling overtime doesn't seem like it will make me happy.
