Reassessing, considering, contemplating; thankful, tired, and off to the hospital to be with Kevin.
Yesterday's rescue was of six white dwarf bunnies, all betweeen the ages of 4 and 6 years. NONE have ever been out of their enclosures. Three were in one and two were in another bird cage, and the sixth little guy was in a cardboard box.
They are all underweight, have no muscle tone (they have a hard time moving around and get exhausted very easily). They all have problems with their eyes, because they are not used to the daylight and because their eyes are all swollen and painful because of the ammonia from the urine in their filthy enclosures. Tucker, who lived in a box, is afraid to come out, but really WANTS TO, so he comes out for a bit, then goes back to hide in his hidey box.
They are tiny and adorable and amazed by the new world around them. I had to bring two home because their eyes are really bad....
WE NEED FOSTER HOMES OR ADOPTERS TO GET THEM OUT OF THE SHELTER. Inside homes only, of course!
Here are a few pics:

I just love it when I have a stack of UNread books waiting for me. One of the best things in the world.
So, what are you reading? What do you have waiting to be read?
I:
FATHERS AND SONS, Alexander Waugh
NIXONLAND, Rick Perlstein
Waiting:
Charlie Chaplin: His Life and Art, David Robinson
Letters Between Six Sisters--The Mitfords, Charlotte Mosley
Nation, Terry Pratchet (woohoo!)
And I just read - The Heroin Diaries and Slash's Autobiography and Beetle the Bard and Armageddon in Retrospect.
And loads of magazines and etc, as I am a news junkie.

OK, it's old, it's been done, but I always find it interesting: You're on a desert island and you have 10 cds/albums with you, the only ones you'll hear for the rest of your life - what do you have? Mine change from time to time, but at any given moment I'd be happy with the 10 most recently chosen. Right now, those are:
Rainbow - Stranger In Us All
Queen - A Night at the Opera (Sometimes it is "News of The World")
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Robert Earl Keen - A Bigger Piece of Sky
Peter Case - The Man With The Blue Post-Modern Fragmented Neo-raditionalist Guitar
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
There is soooooo much other stuff. So much that I love. GUITARS. . . Blackmore, May, Iommi, Smith/Murray/Gers... and then there are Django and Mississippi John Hurt and Neil Young and and and.... Slash!!! Zappa!! Stevie....................
