Not gonna lie... I suck at keeping up my SG blog. But if you've checked in, then you know this already.

With the demise of 30pov.com, my consistent creative outlet, I got a bit bottled-up.

The last two years have been hell in my professional life. I couldn't locate the off-switch to disconnect and enjoy a quality of life outside of work. I lived in fear induced panic everytime the phone rang. I definitely was not a pleasant person to be around and my kiddies noticed. In short, sales just wasn't my bag.

Two months back into the restaurant industry have been a rebirth for me. While the hours have changed, it was easy to transition back into a managerial role and be the go-to guy for both my staff and guests.

This ain't the Kool Aid talking either.

Soooo, now that things are once again looking brighter, you'll be hearing a little bit more from me aside from random comments I place in a few of the boards on this lovely site. Can't believe I've been a card carrying SGer since 2004!

MmKay... Here's what's been rocking my socks over the last few months:
1) Free Comic Book Day

2) "Mind the Gap" from Image Comics

3) "The Avengers" movie

4) Garbage's "Not Your Kind of People"

5) Swamp Thing

6) AMC's "The Killing"

7) Jack Whiite's ""Blunderbuss"

8) Moleskine notebooks

9) my new kicks

That's all I got for now. Watch this space...

Following up on my resolutions:

1) I've been keeping deadline on 30pov.com Check out the site and leave a comment. I get posted the 13th of every month.
2) I read both the books I said I would in January. Slacked a bit this month, but now I'm a quarter of the way into "Just Kids" by Patti Smith which is incredible.
3) I'm in my 45 day of no alcohol. I've lost 12 pounds of weight I gained during job training. I feel fabulous. I'd like to drop another 10...
4) ...which would help if I rode my bicycle more.

Yeah, 2011 is pretty alright so far. How's yours?

Fine. I'll commit some resolutions for 2011 on SG:

1. Write more. Check out my posts on 30pov.com It's a monthly thing. Although I should post more on my personal blog site ironiciconic.wordpress.com
2. Read more. I'm currently reading "Rat Girl" by Throwing Muses' Kristin Hirsch. Really good. After that, "Palo Alto Stories" by James Franco.
3. Drink less beer. Go with the harder stuff!!!
4. Exercise more. I've got some gimpy knees, so jogging is unfortunately out of the question. Biking on the other hand...

That's all I got for now. More later.

Smooches. Happy friggin' new year!kiss

Just when I thought my life was getting to "sort of normal," there I go making it complicated again.

Just noticed how long it's been since I posted out here . . . Enjoying an Abita Purple Haze right now. I hate Mondays, but at least there's a new "24" and the season ender of "Men of a Certain Age" to look forward to tonight.

I consumed tuna so rare, it bled as I cut into it. Add a little wasabi paste . . . bliss. love
