Missing out
Everyday, I feel more alone.
Everywhere I seem to go, I don’t belong there.
At home, I am alone.
School is worse because everyone seems to have friends,
I talk to my teachers more than other students.
My partner is comforting.
Until we meet up with his friends.
The alienation never ends.
All my closest friends are so far.
It would take days even by car just to see them.
My family all lives so far too.
And they rarely want to talk on the phone.
Though I’m loyal and sweet.
I guess there is no place for me.
Maybe I’m too strong or too weak.
So I just paint or pet my cat.
Sit alone all day and wonder.
How different life might be,
If there was a place,
For the missing piece.

I guess there is no place for me.
Maybe I’m too strong or too weak.

Sit alone all day and wonder.
How different life might be,
If there was a place,
For the missing piece.
