Quick update. In the past 3 weeks, I've been to Omaha to see Opeth and Enslaved, flew to Portland for Paganfest, and went to Maryland for Maryland Deathfest. It's looking like I may be flying to California for a while and catching Summer Slaughter in San Diego and LA. These two months are more action-packed than the whole rest of the year has been. Now it's just work to make up for all I've spent and saving to move.
Not much to write about until it all actually starts happening. Moving soon so I can save money, then hopefully the real fun begins. Classes are ending in a few weeks and I can't wait to get it all over with. It's been a long year.
No update since September, wow. I'd like to be at least a little more active in these paid membership community sites. I learned today that Sophie goes to KU, too, but I don't think I've ever seen her around. It would be nice to meet someone else from the site, though.
This semester needs to hurry up and be done so I can leave the country again. Moldova was...disappointing isn't the right word, but it's the first that comes to mind. (I just watched Choke a couple times last week and I'm really glad about how it turned out a lot like the book. One of my favorites.)

It's been a long time since I've updated. I've been living in Lawrence for a month and a half or so and started classes a few weeks ago. Swedish, Hitler, and linguistics are all good, but I can't be done with math soon enough.
In just a few weeks I've seen Origin, Abysmal Dawn, Creature Feature, and Hawnay Troof with Impaled and some others coming on Monday. It's awesome being able to just walk to venues now. Tomorrow I fly to Portland to see Finntroll, Warbringer, and my best friend I haven't seen in over 3 years. Fuck yes. Not so fuck yes is my dreaded 25th birthday on Saturday...

While I was in Seattle last week I got an e-mail telling me I was accepted to KU. Awesome! Too bad I'll be an East Asian Studies major and I couldn't care less about it. I'm just really hoping my major doesn't affect studying abroad somewhere more interesting, like Estonia or Latvia.
One month until I move and I have no idea where I'll be living yet.

My new MacBook Pro came today. For the most part, it's perfect. Now I'm really done spending...for real.
These last three sets by Miro, Lotyss, and Radeo are all super hot!

Just got Pentax's K20D and it's pretty much amazing. Tomorrow the totally brand new 35mm Macro Limited comes in the mail. I've spent way, way too much on camera equipment lately.
I renewed my subscription again since I have a lot more money these days. Since I've been gone I've been to Iceland and stayed in the Faroe Islands for three months. I've been waiting on a work visa for the Faroes for about five months, and I wouldn't be surprised if I've got that long to go until I get an answer. In the meantime, I'm a web consultant for a storage tank company in Kansas.
Never again will I doubt how awesome a tripod can be. Today I got the Bogen-Manfrotto 055MF3 with 488RC0 ball head and it's just amazing. I needed something that could hold up the massive DA* 16-50mm lens and not be too heavy for mountain hikes. Carbon/mag fiber is totally worth the money. Plus it's really funny having a $400 tripod setup support a Holga.
