Once again I have been given a three month pass into the realm of SG. Let's see what happens this time...
Hey guys!
I got an e-mail sayin' I'm good to go for three months. I'm not exactly sure of the who's or the why's but you guys are stuck with me for at least a little bit. If you wanna catch up a bit, just say hi!

So, not too many crazy things going on in this world of mine. I've got my season pass to to King's Island. I've been going to some great concerts lately. I've been hitting up the gym on a regular basis. I have jury duty for the next two weeks. I've got my birthday coming up on May 31st.
What's that?
You missed that last part?
Don't worry, I'll repeat it: I've got my birthday coming up on May 31st. I'll be at Hell City Saturday (30th) and Sunday (31st) celebrating it so you guys can buy me a shot or whatever when you see me. Don't worry, I'm not picky.

I lied. I said on my last post I would update more. This has not been the case. I am doing so now in the attempt to make a habit of it but I will make these baby steps in the right direction.
What have I done lately? Hmmm.... well I would say I have done alot of nothing. Now don't get me wrong. I have enjoyed what this vague description of my actions alludes to but not much stands out above the rest.
Of the more notable actions, I have been doing a better job on doing some reconnecting with some old aquaintances. I've also been trying to mix things up a bit more by going to new bars, restaurants, and hang out locations. I can tell you that if this is something you've not done in a while then you need to do so now. There are alot of really good places that you pass by every day but never go to just because it's out of routine. And damn it if I haven't found some good places around town.
I've also been getting this itch. No, not the kind you apply salve and ointment to but the kind the builds inside you. The one that tells you that you need to go. Do. Travel. Experience. Live. It's a wonderful and daunting feeling. And it's a feeling that I don't know how long I can contain before I do something stupid and impulsive. So I will see what strikes me and make plans for when it does. This is assuming that this happens before the urge takes over. lol.
I've also gotten a boost in my appreciation for movies, music, TV and art. I can't really say where that came from either. I went from watching a movie or 2 a week to about 5 to 8. I've been listening to a few new bands all the way from Jon Justice Band to Amon Amarth.
Just looking at what I've written so far it's painstakingly obvious. I want to consume. Consume experiences and everything I can. It's strange though. Is it possible to be happy in life but discontent at the same time? Or is it because I am happy that I want to experience more?
And another thing popped into thought. I've been single for some time now and have had a strong desire to be with someone. To share my life and love with my other. Recently, this desire has been dulling. It has become from what was once a co-pilot in my head to a Post-it note on the dash. Sort of like being on the grocery list between the Pop-tarts and the Doritos. I do wonder, though, if this is part of where the other feeling is popping up from. Who knows?
I hate to say it but this is probably the most introspective I've been while sober in a long time. I wouldn't mind it more often, honestly.

I've been slacking as of late in the update category. I did just put a bunch of pics from Halloween Havana.
Since you last heard from me I have gone to Orlando to visit my sister, Colorado Springs, CO to see my other sister and to a bufu town in northern Indiana to see one of my two brothers. That last one is especially out of the ordinary as I hadn't seen him it eight years.
I've gone to a few shows, though, oddly enough I can only remember seeing Opeth at Bogarts. They put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. I'll be checking out NIN tomorrow up in Columbus and hopefully Mudvayne in December.
That's it for now. Short but sweet. I'll be making an effort to do more of these and in greater detail. Until then . . .

I've been busy lately. I saw Dethklok and Chimaira up in Cleveland. That show was so fucking bad-ass. Dethklok rocks more than any other band in existence. And of course Chimaira just plain rocks anyway. GWAR was here in Cincinnati last month and put on an entertaining show. A couple nights ago I saw MSI. I kinda wish they played more older stuff but considering it's the their new album tour, I'll let it slide. The Birthday Massacre was surprisingly good and the lead singer is quite hot. Tonight I'm off to see Hatebreed and Type O Negative. Should be really good.
My main piece of news is my new car. I bought a black '09 Lancer GTS. It's so fucking awesome! It's got all sorts of gadgets in it that I'm still trying to learn. This marks the first car I've actually purchased and the first time being in real debt. Scary, but exciting at the same time.
That's my short but very sweet update. Until next time . . .

I'm home, but before I go to work I'd like to say that it was nice to see you guys last night.
Like I said, Havana was awesome. The thing I loved about it most was all were the new, and not so new, faces. I seriously don't think I spent more than 5 minutes in one spot other than with the lovely Kaylee. The drinks poured strongly and were plentiful which is most agreeable in my book. Even while the ruckus was ruckussing and I had to get serious to be sure that guy (can't remember his name - sorry) didn't get seriously hurt I still didn't get thrown out of the swing of things. And I finally officially met Havana which, come to think of it, I don't know why I hadn't in the past.
That night, a bunch of us raided Meow's house for The Slumber Party of Doom . . . er, well it was a swell after party anyway. Ha. The following day was just a great mix of internet videos, lol cats, Meow's delicious cooking and some great asian cuisine. To finish it off, was the Pictionary battle of epic proportions in which Meow and Vivid took on Salome and myself (we won. hard. without mercy. We Are the Champions).
So, those are the highlights. Anything else will just have stay a memory.
