the weather has finally turned nice here. getting lots of work done in the yard to prepare for drinking on the patio season.

damn seasonal colds! why is it when the weather starts to get warmer, i start getting sick?
Spring is here! how do i know? i can finally wear my Chucks outside and not worry about slipping on ice.

i applied for a job in Edmonton and was ready to make the perminant move from Winnipeg. i didn't get it. oh well.
Halloween is approaching way to fast. even sooner is our annual Zombie Walk. i'm not ready for either, i have no clients, and because i'm working on a show to earn a living, i have very little time to get things done.
i live a very boring life and don't do much. i think i know why i can't keep this thing going. lol

I've lived in Canada all my life. in fact i've lived in Winnipeg all my life. so i'm used to the snow. so why is it on the first day of snow falling here i go and get hit by a car? don't worry, i'm fine, just sore.

(btw... if you don't know where Winnipeg is, it's about 2 1/2 hours north of Grand Forks, ND. if you still don't know, well that's what Google maps are for. lol)
Halloween was pretty good this year. it's the first one i've had in a while. about 2 years anyways. got great response from both my costumes, which is awsome because it also meant handing out my business cards. sweet!
so anyways, check out the pictures of my two costumes. both masks are handmade by me and are made out of leather. they are about as comfortable as you can imagine. lol.

Halloween! it's coming up too fast, and i still have no work. well, that's a lie. i have ONE client. he wants to be done up as (SURPRISE!) the Joker. i guess i won't be doing it myself now. that's ok though, i kind of decided to stick with one costume this year; Chris Fehn (#3) of Slipknot. if you don't know who that is, he's the one with the pinocchio/ bondage style mask. sound like a cop out for a makeup artist? fear not, i actually made my own mask. i thought of buying one, but who wants a cheezy looking rubber mask when you can make and wear a real leather one!
ok, i'm a little excited and rambling on about this, but hey this is what i do as a job and a hobby, so of course i'm going to be passionate about it.
i will try to post some pics of the mask as soon as i take some. and i will post pictures of some of my makeup work for people to comment on (be honest, if it sucks, tell me.)
