Just got back from Brest where we played a show at La Carène. People from teh place were so nice. gig was cool though there wasn't that big of an audience. Drank all night afterwards, got to the hotel way past breakfast time. Plus I got the master files from our late demo, so I'll get to mix the songs sometiimes soon.
Anyways.
Beautiful sets to discover this morning. that was cool too.

Enough with the label and gloomy thoughts. Spring is here and it's cool. back to learning about recording and mixing.

Going to work on the label today. It's been kind of a mess lately. too many unsold records came back and that puts us in a delicate situation. still struggling not to let the label down though. It's all for art's sake.
There's no way we can let the good people/artists down.
Though this label feels like a wounded beast lying in the middle of the road, bleeding to death, we're fighting to put it to the side, so it may rest and heal.
so far so good.
(I really don't know if anyone cares about these things though....)

I think that if you live with an artist, you have to accept that someday you'll end up naked in one of his/her song, painting, films, etc... transfigured in someone else, or not.
I just finished a song today about heroin addiction - and trust me I never did heroin and will never do - but friends around me did and passed away, kids I was in school with. They just end up in my songs, transfigured and covered with love.

That'll be the day.
