First day after my set debuted and I'm feeling ok about it!

I didn't realize how many people would see it in one day and I was giddy with pleasure from all of the attention! Ok ok ok, yes, I am a total attention whore! Lol sue me!
But it was nice, I have to admit.
I was just thinking about searching out a way to get involved with the Hell City tattoo Fest. I'd like to get out of the house and shop a bit. I'll try to call them later today.
That's all I've got this morning babes... See ya soon!

Im so Excited that my first set is coming out today! I can hardly believe the 18th is here already! Although I must admit that I feel old when looking at some of the other hopefuls and SG photos.
On the other hand I am happy about another thing too! I finished my thigh tattoo this Monday past and that was a great relief! 13 hours and 2 months later and I have an amazing new tattoo ready to be photographed! As soon as my photographer is ready... So am I! I have lots of ideas for new sets! How about you?

So I was in Raleigh NC (of all places) for yet another tattoo convention and i was talking to Carl Grace, another artist, about having him tattoo my left sleeve. I was going to have Lord Pepper (from Milan) do it but it's so hard to wait for euro artists to make it out to me in New York.
I was also thinking about buying a box or so of SG t-shirts to sell at conventions along with my shop shirts. I wonder if SG sells them wholesale? Hum.... Would be nice.
Would be even nicer if my set comes up and gets picked quickly so I can have the title of Suicide Girl for the Boston Tattoo Convention. It might sound silly but people actually like the idea of being tattooed by a SG.
Lastly I just realized that my right leg piece will be finished by that time also! I can't wait to enter it in a competition! Mike Moses really deserves all the recognition he can get for it. He has out done himself on my leg and I'm happy to show it off.
Well that's all today. Be back soon

last day at the convention (yesterday)
Besides being tired from the night before I still made it on time...The show had been busy for me so I wasn't looking forward to too much work. I was actually hoping to get just one client in and relax and socialize. Lucky for me, that's exactly what happened. I had lunch with a lovely bloke... well when I say lunch I actually mean dessert! we had the best pie and coffee there ever was! And that is saying a lot for convention food!
After that I did another tattoo and then walked around to watch the performers (Enigma is still as funny as ever), do a little shopping, and hang out with a few people. Over all the show was a great success and I am really looking forward to going back next year!

Day 2 at the convention
What a busy day , frankly what an amazing party!
The day started out slow but quickly picked up as I was happy to meet some really amazing new clients and friends. I was even able to try out some new vegan tattoo products that have serious promise. Not to mention that the day was profitable enough for me to really relax and enjoy day three (today).
Of course the show has plenty of performers, merchants and talented artists... Kind of a given for the convention circuit. But it reminds me how much I love my job too. What really has me tickled pink is the venue crew.
Now I just have to restrain myself from getting new ink or a new piercing. I was thinking about getting dimples...

First day at the visionary tattoo convention was absolutely wonderful. Only thing missing was having my set up already so I could show it off to my friends AND my tattoo machines! Yup you read that right, I packed everything except my most important tool! Lucky for me the city was only a short train ride away and my apprentice was free to make the trip or I would have been fucked!
But all is well. I had plenty of time to check out the talent and vendors.
I'm very lucky to be tattooing next to a legend in the industry so some apprentice style peeping and sponging is defo in order!!!
If your in the Asbury Park area come and check it out! Now, after a quick shower at the hotel I say party time! What say you?

Visionary tattoo convention ...
The ocean breeze was calling so I answered! Here I am at an amazing location for a tattoo show... I'm so excited to be here that I could pee! I've been cooped up for too London in Manhattan that I was starting to go a little cabin crazy. Hard to believe right! Show starts in an hour!!! Can't wait to tell you all about it!

You know I was just sitting here thinking about tattoos... mainly because we have a guest artist in the shop and I'm musing over getting another rabbit for my leg... and I was asking myself, why would anyone be loyal to a single artist when there are so many incredible artists out there. God knows that tattoo artists are not loyal to each other.
Here I am, listening to the buzz of his machines working away on another pretty girl and all I can think of is "why not me!"
Why not? I guess it's because I'm just a baby. I love my tattoos but I hate getting tattooed. In fact I am a notorious baby about it! Many of my coworkers have already renounced tattooing me any more. I can't think of anyone I'd hate more than tattooing someone like me. Yet, there I go again and again... back under the needle moaning and bitching like a newbie.
You would think that after the ones I already have that my pain tolerance would go up... but it still hasn't. Two hours is my limit...
What's yours?

Back at the shop... Bum Bum Bum
After the convention I tried to settle back into shop life. I miss the road so much that it's not funny. I am really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
Well once back at the shop nothing seemed right. So, a little over energized, I started moving everything around. Two days later the shop had an entirely new set up! I've moved a few things around before but never to this degree. I'm actually happy with the new set up. The artists that work with me are stoked too... goes to show a little umph goes a long way.
Good news is that there will be a guest artist at the shop next week and we are all excited to see what the new guy brings to the shop. We love guest artists... they give us all the competitive edge and desire to step up our game. No one likes to be outshone by the new guy.

Home at last in NYC. Today I'm back at the shop and although I love tattoo conventions... I love my shop more
This month has a lot of interesting things going on so I'm excited to start July at last! Not to mention I'm expecting some pretty amazing guest artists to visit from Europe.
But right now I'm having tea in bed. And that my lovelies is amazing in itself! After all I'm a workaholic I could be drawing or something by now. It
Must be the incredible New York sunshine reaching through my bedroom window that has me glued to my bed. What do you think?
