This'll be a fun weekend

you know the problem with updating your journal more than once a month? people start to expect it and yell at you when it's been only a week since the last update. but really, I don't have much more to say than work still sucks (although it's at least interesting now since I'm building a new IDS box and getting some RBAC MAC experience).

Ok, I guess I coulda updated a few days ago with that last part...

did I mention the whole work sucking thing? Another DDOS. Another night up until 5am working. No more 21 hour shifts for me for at least a month or two!

the last 2 weeks at work have been the worst weeks in memory...I swear god himself put a curse on us. On the plus side, I'm getting a bunch of overtime. Unfortunately, it doesn't really make up for being woken up 3 hour into sleeping and 4 hours before I'm supposed to work, or on my 1 day off during the weekend.

Is it just me or are the safety requirements for medication dropping significantly? I love it when they spend 3/4ths of the commercial listing the possible side effects. "shave 20% off the duration of your cold, but risk stroke, heart explosion, and the loss of your left leg."

So I go to Quiznos tonight for dinner. When I ask the guy for a bowl of soup, he says to me "you don't like the corn bread, do you?". I'm thinking there's something really disgusting about today's batch or something (not that there's any chance they make it themselves or anything like that). Turns out that they have them, but they're still frozen. Well, here I am now starting to get hungry after finishing my sandwich and I'm stuck with a muffin that's still frozen after sitting out for 3 hours. Sure, I COULD microwave it, but do I really have the energy for that? The microwave's on the other side of the building. Damn the frozen muffin!
