Its been ages since I posted anything new up here. I've been ridiculously busy lately, and I've got exams soon, so I'm probably not likely to get much more free time for a while. And I'm still annoyed that I have to work on Halloween and Bonfire Night, thus missing my chance to dress strangely and explode things for another year. University and jobs = irritating.
Although I did have the day off yesterday, which resulted in watching Back to the Future and realising that I'm in love with Michael J Fox, mainly because he brings the awesome.

I just got back from Kent, which was surprisingly fun (my friend goes to uni in Canterbury, so that was pretty much the only reason I went down there). We went to the White Cliffs, which was awesome because I never knew you could actually see France from Dover. I always pictured the English Channel between Kent and Calais as being fairly large, but it's more like a moat (er, sort of).
It wasn't a foggy day or anything ... but it's amazing standing in England and seeing the shore of France in front of you. (yeah, I get excited about odd things). Although it was strange that my phone connected to a French network and charged me £1 a minute when I got a phonecall, that must get really annoying for people that live in Dover. Although maybe that's just Virgin mobile being twunts.
Also, I'd like to give the Fratellis an award for fitting the most double-edged drugs/sex metaphors into one song. Yes.

I'm not proud of this, but I think I've started to like Lilly Allen. I used to think she was generally not very good, and trying too hard to be Cockney, but I have since changed my mind..
See? It's quite good...
Also, I'm way happy because I just signed up to an aerobatics course to celebrate getting my Private Pilot's License. Although I'm currently very scared of crashing. I wish I was an astronaut pilot instead, there'd be fewer things to crash into. Apart from all the Martians that are just floating around in space and stuff. You've gotta watch out for them...

I just got back from seeing my family, who I hadn't seen in ages, before I decided to do it twice in a month. Oh the randomness of it all. Most of them live in Athens, but I went down to teh Laconia with my sister to see my grandparents and cousins, which was fun. It was the longest hottest journey known to man (it was about 45C/113F), but the scenery was teh awesome. And I'm dissapointed that no-one yelled 'THIS IS SPARTA!' when we arrived. Technically we were in Sellasia, not Sparta, but still, it's close enough. Hmm.
Also ... it was great getting to go back to open-air cinemas (especially teh CineParis), which I'm seriously jealous we don't have in Britain. And it was amazing/scary looking at the forest fires when we were on the plane flying out over northern Greece, so many of the hills were burning. It's weird though, Britain's weather is pretty much the polar opposite of Greece's now. Thankfully London hasn't been too badly affected, but Tewkesbury's turned into an island. Which, if you think about it, is kinda cool.
Also, I've developed a guilty love for Elliot Minor, due to their extensive pop-rock goodness (shown here alongside teh also awesome Dr Who):
And how fit is David Tennant? The answer to that is 'very', by the way.

Some things I'm excited about:
Yoghurt and honey ice cream.
The new Simpsons movie.
Going back to Athens on Saturday to see family.
Gym Class Heroes, and Anti-Flag.
And things I'm not so happy about:
Being forced to listen to Paramore.
Going for a run in the rain and tripping and cutting my knee open. Again.
Eli Roth continually making crap movies. Why does someone so sexy have to be so devoid of talent? It's just not right.

I had my mobile phone stolen today, and I'm feeling rather ticked off right now. It was either stolen or I just lost it in a really subtle way, but either way it's not in my bag anymore. Goshdamnit.
R.I.P for the best phone ever.
I am cheering myself up with an MTW marathon:

My life is quite uneventful and work-centric right now, so I don't have much to blog about. If anyone wants to give me any suggestions for what to put here, feel free. Let me know if you would rather see me write about:
a) Space aliens
b) Underwear
c) Music and/or kittens
That is all.

I'm pretty bummed out right now, I had to start my morning by running for an hour to get to an interview I ended up being late for. I had an interview for 9am (which is the first problem, why would anyone force someone to go to an interview early on a Saturday morning?). I was going to drive, but my car refused to start and I couldn't find a taxi company that had anything available in time. So I had to jog there and I ended being half an hour late. Which is pretty damn awful.
Amazingly, the interview itself actually didn't go too badly (I explained why I was late and they were actually pretty nice about it). I got on really well with the guy who was doing the interview, and he said he thought I was a good fit for the job. On the downside, it is a rather boring clerical position that I only want to do for a few months to build up my CV before I go to uni. I don't know if it was worth having to run for an hour on a weekend morning...
Now I'm exhausted and want to have a nap but I feel guilty napping on a nice Saturday afternoon. OH THE DILEMNA OF IT ALL.

I'm bored. You know the horrible, oppressively apathetic boredom when you can't even be bothered to do anything, thus exacerbating the boredom?
Does anyone know a solution for that?
( apart from listening to these people: http://www.myspace.com/shangalangdude )...

I love spring showers. Its all sunny and bright blue outside, and it's still getting incredibly short and heavy bursts of rain pouring down. It's really nice.
PS. I just discovered the Israeli ska band Cuban B, and they're making me happy in my pants.
