I can't believe it ends like this. I have no words for the post season. My mom cried. Hoping for a 9.9 west coast earthquake. I wanted to push for the White Sox (only outta respect for wsoxfan) but a bunch of other Sox fans reminded me why I dislike most Sox fans. GO RAYS.
Well, after drowning my anger and sadness in bourbon and beer, I'd like to take back part of what I said. Despite those other sox fans rubbing our nose in it, wsoxfan is a stand up guy who deserves to see his team win. Best of luck to him.
I'm genuinely sorry about the Cubs. As I've said in the past, I have no animosity toward them. I feel the same way about you and MrChairman as you do toward me.
I could say that it's "only baseball", and you should just put it behind you and go on to more important things. I won't say that though because, what with the high expectations you rightfully had for the Cubs, It wouldn't be realistic to turn the page just like that.
I'm not really a National League guy and don't know the Cubs all that well. What are your thoughts about the Cubs future prospects for success?
I appreciate your comments. I'm not feeling that well today. I know I have people in my life who care about me. That will surely help me to focus on the positive.
I heard that the Bears got screwed yesterday. Is it true that the play before the Falcons winning field goal actually took nine seconds and that there were only six seconds on the clock? Supposedly, the clock didn't start immediately when the ball was snapped.
Thanks for enlightening me on the Bears game. Unlike baseball, I don't have the NFL package. From what I've seen of Orton, I agree that he's developing into a solid QB.
I'm surprised at your description of the Bears defense. I guess that just because they have a bunch of "name" players doesn't mean that they're doing the job. I'm not nearly as much of a Bears fan as I am a White Sox fan. Right now though, they're my only focus when it comes to sports. They're in a very mediocre division and should be able to stay competitive all season long. In a way they remind me of the Sox in that they're not that good, but could easily make the playoffs.
