Hey all, sorry I haven't been reading or commenting much lately; I've been rather busy with work (I don't even want to count the number of bills I have piling up on my counter) and editing my book. That was a laborious process, but I'm finally done with it and ready to submit the thing to the agent I met at the Austin Agents and Editors Conference. So yeah, you know, it's only about the biggest moment of my life so far, so no need to be anxious or anything....

Yeah, Tommy Lee Jones was bad. Which sucks, because he's never bad. Even in that Steven Seagal movie he was in, he was over the top, but not in a horrible, grating kind of way.

Good luck on the book.

Best of luck with the book. You must be so excited. Keep us posted.

Enjoy the Orioles-Sox games. I'll be watching from here. The Sox are doing what they need to do, beat up on the bad teams. Except for last Friday's meltdown, I have no complaints. The weekend series against the Rays will speak volumes. At least the series is at the Cell.

Yes, the Sox and Twins will go down to the wire. I'm beginning to believe that both teams will make the playoffs, with Boston being the odd team out.

Be well. I'm pulling for you re: the book. Your Cubs look really good, btw.

Good Luck with the book!

If you happen to have any free time you'd like to devote to a SGFF league, the one I've run the last couple years is looking for at least one more team (I hate odd numbers) If you're interested, let me know and I'll send you the info.

(and it isn't all pats fans I promise wink )

I enjoy listening to Gary Thorne and Buck Martinez. They are one of most fair and balanced broadcast teams in the majors.

Honestly, if you more or less enjoyed the movies you will LOVE the books. The first 2 really read as kids books, but as the kids grow up, so do the stories and Rowling's writing. I haven't anjoyed the as 2 movies as much as I hoped, but I have hopes for the 6th after seeing the awesome trailer.

Info on the league will be messaged over smile

What with the Cubs' history, I can understand their fans going into a panic mode. As someone on the outside looking in, I don't feel there's that much to worry about.

My Sox are stinking up the field lately also. Yet, I don't see where the Twins are doing all that well either. It should be exciting for both our teams down the stretch.

I don't know if I want the Yankees to be out of it by the time the Sox come into the Stadium or not. It might be easier for the Sox if the Yanks are dead by then. On the other hand, there's nothing more exciting than the atmosphere of Yankee Stadium during a pennant race. Also, I'd kind of want my friend, Lyrical to be really into the game when we go on 9/15, since she's a big Yankees fan.

Keep us posted about the book. I'm pulling for you. Be well.
